I'll admit I had a hard time following what was happening in the beginning of the film. Granted, I don't speak a word of Russian, so that probably has something to do with it. Once the movie gets into its second act, it really gets going. Honestly, it's kinda a charming romantic comedy if I didn't think too hard about the first 30 minutes or so.

It's the Russian Groundhog Day (but completely different)

If you sit and think about the movie, it doesn't make any sense whatsoever. But is it fun to watch? You betcha. So the story is not the greatest and is full of holes, but the actors make it worthwhile. They obviously had a lot of fun making the movie. And that translates nice onto the screen.
I watched it in the original Russian language with subtitles, but I think I got most of it. Even dubbed some jokes will be lost in translation, so there is no difference. Actually I am waiting for the announcement of an American remake of this movie. Maybe they're already onto it. Until then rent this and watch it, if you don't mind a bit of romantic comedy that is very light, but still enjoyable
