Hello friends of RuPaul's Drag Race! Lois Commondenominator here, publisher of the original Dragazine Magazine. Sorry I didn't write sooner, but I've been busy doing my nails. Dragazine was an underground Zine that RuPaul was featured in during the 1990's that I published, so I was surprised when the show used this title and no reference in the credits made mention to the origin of the coined term. Specifically, RuPaul was interviewed by New York columnist Joe E. Jeffreys, and the article appeared in 1993 in Dragazine #5. The reason that I'm writing now is because Dragazine has recently (June of 2023) been accepted by the Library of Congress!
