Season 2 of last summer’s hit breakout series “The Bear” is set to premiere on Hulu on Thursday, June 22. After a tumultuous return to his family’s hole-in-the-wall Chicago restaurant, chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White) and his staff transform the greasy sandwich joint into a first-class dining experience after he discovers the slush fund his brother left behind. Despite having the extra money to make his dreams a reality, the future proves to be both a personal and professional challenge for Carmy and the crew.
Watch the trailer for Season 2 of “The Bear”:
Beginning on June 14, the new series continuation of the beloved film “The Full Monty” arrives on Hulu. It’s 25 years later and the men and women of Sheffield, England, are in reboot mode, navigating life and family. I'm writing a blog about you, it's called "Why You Suck".
According to fate, the #YesAllWomen social media frenzy--with its copious corollary analysis--has coincided with my viewing of The Right Kind of Wrong (2013), a movie about an antisocial stalker who haunts a beautiful newlywed because he's arbitrarily decided to "love" her. Uncharitable a reading though that may be, feminist arguments are not known for their charity. But the phenomenon does provide an opportunity to give the common trope used in this film a quarter turn and see the creepy, violating side of it. Inspired by passion and the certainty of love-at-first-sight, a man woos a woman away from her current lover (here, husband) who is clearly (clearly!) less appropriate for her than is our hero. She doesn't see it yet, but she will--no really, she will. If we weren't introduced to the hero first, but instead saw the Lady getting ready for the wedding,...

The profile of Australian films in the Us looks set to rise in the next two months with the debuts of Wolf Creek 2, The Railway Man and Tracks.

Greg Mclean.s serial killer saga may be the second Australian film to be released in what is known as the Ultra-vod window; Fighting Fear, a surfing docudrama featuring Mick Fanning, took that route in 2012.
Consumers pay a premium price of $US9.99 to watch a film on VoD before it.s released in cinemas. The VoD fee reverts to the regular $5 when the film opens theatrically. The slasher sequel has grossed nearly $4.5 million after its fourth weekend.

Despite not being nominated for Best Director, Louise Archambault’s Gabrielle managed to pull off what we thought was the impossible (our Leora Heilbronn has pegged the drama as the film that should win, but favored Denis Villeneuve’s Enemy as the best bet) winning Best Motion Picture at the 2014 Canadian Screen Awards (a.k.a Canadian Oscars). If the out of synch supposed “live” telecast wasn’t bad enough (all awards including the winning film were announced almost one hour prior to on twittersphere), the show’s producers gave Gabrielle winning producers Luc Déry and Kim McCraw the equivalent of end of toilette paper roll in terms of time.
The voters also choose Gabrielle‘s Gabrielle Marion-Rivard as Best Actress in a Leading Role, while the heavily favored Enemy grabbed five awards, Best Direction for Villeneuve, Best Original Score for the excellent Danny Bensi/Saunder Jurriaans pairing , Best Editing,...

When "True Blood" enters its seventh and final season this summer, not all of its characters will come out alive -- or still undead. Zap2it spoke with Ryan Kwanten while he was promoting his new movie "The Right Kind of Wrong," and he says some big surprises are in store in Season 7.
We asked Kwanten about the return of Anna Camp's Sarah Newlin. Though he says Jason Stackhouse and Sarah haven't had a Season 7 scene together yet, he expects that to happen before filming ends.
"There will have to be something, I dare say," Kwanten says. "Some more favorite [characters] are going to appear, and some more favorites are actually going to be on the chopping block."
Though Season 6 ended on a bit of a series reboot, Kwanten says Season 7 will harken back to earlier seasons. Because the show is coming to an end, he says the actors are...

Everybody loves a good underdog story, but what happens when an underdog story is so delusional and out of touch with reality that you just pity the underdog throughout the whole movie? Well, you get a completely idiotic, painstakingly generic and formulaic romantic comedy like The Right Kind of Wrong.
The film stars Ryan Kwanten of True Blood fame as a dishwasher named Leo who dreams big. And not just really big, we’re talking so big that the premise of the film kills it before it can even get off the ground. Basically, Leo is your average Joe with imperfections just like the rest of us. These faults bother his wife so much that she decides to start a blog titled “Why You Suck” to share with the entire world. It’s definitely a petty and cruel thing to do, but it also goes viral, leading to book deals and more.

ComingSoon.net has your exclusive first look at the new TV spot for The Right Kind of Wrong , the R-rated comedy starring Ryan Kwanten ("True Blood"), Sara Canning ("The Vampire Diaries"), Will Sasso and Catherine O'Hara. In the March 14 release, Leo Palamino has dedicated his life to what some may call impossible dreams. At least his ex-wife Julie would call them that. But Leo is an expert at not listening to her criticism or anyone else's for that matter because Leo is a stubborn romantic... An idealist. A dreamer. And to dream big, impossible dreams you can't listen to the people who tell you that's what those dreams are. It is precisely this refusal to listen to criticism that drove his ex-wife Julie to blog about Leo's flaws as their relationship broke...

Today's MPAA ratings bulletin begins with the latest rom-com starring Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler in the PG-13-rated Blended while Dreamworks' video game adaptation Need for Speed also scores the expected 13-and-under rating. And with an R-rating is the Toronto Film Festival standout, Denis Villeneuve's Enemy starring Jake Gyllenhaal. Perhaps a little more interesting to some is the PG rating for the upcoming Pixar short film Party Central which will play in front of Muppets Most Wanted on March 21. The short features Mike and Sulley from Monsters University with a story described as such: Mike and Sulley are back at Monsters University for a fun-filled weekend with their Oozma Kappa fraternity brothers. The gang is throwing their first party, but no one's showing up. Luckily for them, Mike and Sulley have come up with a plan to make sure "Party Central" is the most epic party the school has ever seen.

It’s always interesting to see a Canadian take on a traditional romantic comedy, and The Right Kind of Wrong, based on the book “Sex and Sunsets” by Tim Sandin, is certainly striving to be a worthy successor to its American counterparts. It has all of the elements: good-looking leads; a pretty locale; a candy-coated landscape and fanciful feel…the one (very important) thing it doesn’t have is a well thought out script.
True Blood’s Ryan Kwanten plays Leo, an eccentric writer who’s reeling from the flop of his first novel and the break-up of his marriage to a woman (Kristen Hager) who has spent her down time documenting his flaws on a wildly popular blog called “Why You Suck” that’s now primed to become a best-selling book. She leaves Leo behind in their sad, little apartment and insists that they split custody of their cats...

The sleepy but postcard-pretty town of Pincher Creek, Alberta provides the ideal backdrop for director Jeremiah S. Chechik's decade-in-the-making romantic comedy whose major appeal, according to star Ryan Kwanten, is that it doesn't play like a rom-com.
We spoke to the "True Blood" star about playing the role of Leo Palamino, failed writer, slacker extraordinaire, recent divorcé and suddenly in love with Colette (Sara Canning) - whom he meets At Her Wedding - when the cast was in town during Tiff.
The Right Kind of Wrong, based on the 1987 book "Sex and Sunsets" by Tim Sandlin with an updated screenplay by Megan Martin, follows Leo's single-minded, determined attempts to win over Colette, with the help of her boozy, straight-talking mother, played by a delightfully against-type Catherine O'Hara who told us she had some trouble with the salty dialogue but was game for something new.
