Not quite dreadful but still horrible

Warning: Spoilers
I didn't find this episode to be dreadful but it was still painful to watch and definitely horrible. Niecy Nash trying to talk every person with a gun off or the ledge is getting old. It's obvious that this is a spinoff. The problem is that this is probably a spinoff that should've never been. Hopefully, it gets better. And hopefully that happens sooner rather than later. This show started out fairly strong and hopefully the last few episodes are just bumps in the road. Surely it can't get worse but if it does or doesn't get better, I can't see this lasting much longer. It's too bad, I really liked this for the earlier episodes so I hate to see it go but it has to get better.

Just absolutely dreadful

I don't know if this was a new low point for this series, because we've only suffered through the crossovers from The Rookie to keep up with their stories.

Let's start out with the soap opera subplots. They're cliche and painfully written. I had to fast forward through the two agents with the long-distance relationship. Their dialogue was actually making me sick to my stomach.

Then we follow up Elijah Stone's arrest with the attempt to arrest his crazy Hispanic lady supplier ... who starts out the episode with a brutal murder of a priest. By the way, living a lifetime without sleep is medically impossible.

The complicated series of events after that made no sense and didn't hang together at all. Luckily once the crime part was resolved, I was able to terminate the episode without suffering further scenes in the soap opera.
