- With even numbers in their new tribe, it's anyone's game at the start of the challenge. Meanwhile, a clue to the hidden immunity idol leads one Survivor to new security and an argument between two former allies threatens to end their alliance.—Nadia Nassar
- Previously on 'Survivor': A surprise tribe switch threw everything into disorder. Salani got all the strength, leaving Manono as underdogs. Salani dominated every challenge. Colton to run things, even on his depleted tribe. Colton left the game with an illness, but kept the immunity idol. At Tribal Council that night, the tribes merged.
Back at camp: There's a late-night feast waiting for the players, but they're already thinking strategy. Alicia still figures on targeting Christina, but is debating whether to "go back to (her) homegirls." She's not sure which way to go, but says "the backstabbing's going to begin."
The following morning, Troyzan proposes "Tikiano" as the new tribe name. Jonas is cooking up "young coconut" and everyone's happy to have his cooking skills around.
Jay and Tarzan get into a little tiff over the coffee and how it was prepared. Jay reminds Tarzan that he didn't win the coffee, so he can't really say much.
Tarzan pulls Michael aside and they start talking about strategy, and thinks the guys should pull together and bring Alicia over. Michael tells Tarzan he's in, but tells us he doesn't trust any of the guys and he's "not 'in' with Tarzan."
Reward challenge: The players will be divided back into two tribes, racing through obstacles and digging up bags of puzzle pieces. The first group to collect their pieces and put them together wins pizza and beer -- and a secret note.
The teams: Orange is Alicia, Jay, Sabrina, Chelsea, Christina and Troyzan. They will battle against Leif, Kat, Michael, Kim, Jonas and Tarzan, the blue team.
Leif gets stuck, putting the blue team behind early on, but Sabrina struggles to get the fourth and final bag for the orange team and Michael makes quick work of getting the blue team's bag and both teams start working on their puzzles at the same time.
Tarzan and Jonas work the blue team's puzzle while Christina and Troyzan work on the orange team's puzzle.
It's neck and neck until Jonas and Tarzan seem to have some trouble working together, and the orange team wins by just a hair.
The orange team celebrates over pizza and beer and Alicia pulls out the note. It tells them that there's another idol hidden at camp. Chelsea thinks they should keep the existence of this idol a secret. She hopes none of the former Manono finds it.
Jonas talks to Michael, who reveals that Tarzan was working together a plan about the guys sticking together and bringing Alicia along. Jonas is annoyed and thinks Tarzan is a "loose cannon." Jonas goes to Tarzan and says it was a bad idea to tell Michael, the "least reliable" person, because he might still be playing both sides. Jonas and Tarzan get into a profanity-laced shouting match, which ends with Tarzan telling Jonas he's out of their alliance.
Early the next morning, Troyzan is up before everyone else and heads out to look for the idol. Sure enough, he finds it.
Immunity challenge: Each player will stand on a small log while balancing a ball on a round plate. In various increments, a new ball will be added until there are three balls. The last person to make it through without dropping a ball or falling off the perch wins immunity.
Tarzan is the first to lose his balance and fall off the perch.
After a second ball is added, Christina drops a ball and is quickly followed by Michael. Chelsea drops her balls, as does Kim. Alicia's ball comes close to falling, but she keeps it on the edge just long enough to make it to the third ball round.
Alicia's stay is short-lived as she quickly falls off her perch after the round with the third ball starts. Jay goes out.
Jeff notes that "Troyzan's balls haven't moved in a long time," and Troyzan laughs a bit, but he maintains his concentration.
Jonas drops his balls, and Sabrina follows. Down to three, Leif drops a ball. This leaves Troyzan and Kat. They go head to head for a while and Troyzan appears to be losing control at several points, while Kat seems completely focused. Nonetheless, Kat loses her balance and falls off her perch.
Back at camp: Troyzan gets congratulations all around and Leif says they're going to have to talk.
Chelsea pulls Jay aside and they discuss keeping "Salani" together. Jay proposes voting off either Jonas or Leif. Chelsea tells us she wants to vote out Manono's strongest people first. She hates the idea of voting Jonas out next because he's fun, positive and a good cook. But he's probably next to go.
Kim talks to Alicia about voting Jonas out. Kim tells us she and the other girls want to keep Christina and Alicia around "just in case" they end up needing extra girls around later.
Troyzan thinks it's a bad idea to vote Jonas out next because he feeds and provides for everyone. Troyzan tells Jonas this development, and Jonas goes into what he calls "survival mode." Jonas goes to Tarzan and apologizes for the earlier fight. They decide to pull their four votes together and vote Kat.
Tarzan causes some controversy around camp with his dirty underwear. Everyone thinks they have poop on them (yes, the word "poop" was used about a half-dozen times), and he tosses them into the pot of boiling water, right on top of Chelsea's clothes, which she'd already pre-rinsed in the ocean. Chelsea now wants Tarzan to be voted off next because she's "all about who deserves to be here."
She takes this proposal to the group, but Jay worries that if they divert from their plan "all hell could break loose and it could bite you in the butt."
Tribal Council: Sabrina says "it's very chaotic" at camp because everyone's working their game. Jonas says it's possible to think "way too far ahead," and he makes reference to how he's been perceived as a threat. He points out Michael as a bigger threat and says this aloud "to the people that know what (he's) talking about," that he's voting for Mike. Tarzan looks annoyed.
Tarzan says he "disrespects" what Jonas just did, and that Jonas shouldn't be scrambling like this at Tribal Council. Jonas then reveals, again aloud, that despite Tarzan's great plan "we do not have the votes to vote out ... Kat." Shockwaves go through the group. Tarzan claims Jonas is lying. They get into another back and forth, and Tarzan says they might as well vote Jonas out.
Tarzan then announces that he's going to vote Jonas out. Chelsea jumps to Jonas' defense and says more people have had issues and arguments with Tarzan than Jonas. Sabrina agrees with this.
Tarzan admits he's "not as likable as Jonas," but he's not in his environment.
Chelsea says "there's people you want to keep around because they're positive, they're providers ... and then there's dead weight."
We see Jonas write down Mike's name, and Tarzan writes down Jonas' name.
The vote: Jonas, Mike, Mike, Jonas, Jonas, Jonas, Jonas, Jonas, and the seventh person voted out, the first member of the jury is ... Jonas.
Jonas goes over to Tarzan and tries to shake his hand, and offer a "no hard feelings," but Tarzan replies, "Hard feelings to you."
On his way out, Jonas wishes the group luck with "that food situation."
Jonas' last words: "So I can here to go big or go home, so I went big and now I'm going home. ... The fact that I got voted off, that kind of sucks, but at least they said I was a good fisherman and a good cook."
