"Super Bowl XLVI Halftime Show" is like the title already says the entertainment part from in between Super Bowl 46 I think. It runs for under 13 minutes and features Madonna in her mid-50s as the act in the center of it. I am not a big American Football fan at all, so this part is perhaps the most interesting to me from the entire night. Sadly, it was mostly rap/Black music artist accompanying here and that's not my favorite genre at all, but that is a subjective opinion of course. Let me say that as a consequence the first 9 minutes or so did very little for me, but then Like a Prayer rolled in, a song I would not have thought to be a good choice for the event, but it is just such a classic that it elevated the entire thing and made it incredibly watchable as a consequence. A thing of beauty. Oh yeah, this is from 2012 and it was nominated for an Emmy where it lost its category to the Grammys I think. So if your taste in music is the same like mine, then scroll forward the forgettable first almost 10 minutes and get ready to witness greatness. All in all a thumbs-up nonetheless for the entire thing. Shame Madonna did not pick better songs early on or better supporting players because then this could have been an all-time great halftime show.
