If You Say So
A year or so after he released GLEN FALLS SEQUENCE, director Douglas Crockwell returned to the same..... well, call them techniques, with this movie. It's listed as three minutes in length. The bit I saw, labeled an extract, came in at half that length.
If this caused me to miss some important point, I apologize. I do not think I missed a point. This appears to be a film which is intended to show off various non-standard animation techniques, including claymation, and moving simple geometric forms about a background.
There's nothing particularly bizarre about these techniques. Emil Cohl was using them by 1909. They were simply not as as popular as more standard animation.
I remain uninformed whether it's the destiny that's simple or the abstractions. Perhaps that's covered in the unseen sections.
