Warning: Spoilers
Another really solid offering from NCIS: Los Angeles here. "In the Name of Honor" found a few members of the team get kidnapped, something that has happened a bit too frequently to truly be believed on this program, but that doesn't hurt the viewing experience at all.

This had the right amount of action and drama to keep me hooked from start to finish. These are the fun one-off episodes that really make the show still worth watching in this fourteenth and final season. Going to be such a disappointment when it wraps up in the next few weeks but at least we have a few more episodes left to go.

"In the Name of Honor"

Warning: Spoilers
The final season of NCIS: Los Angeles (where it is a rarity that the entire main cast appear in the same episode) has been a bit of a mixed bag: some very good episode and some that, in four or five years' time, you won't probably remember you watched.

"In the Name of Honor" sits somewhere in the middle and is notable because everyone is on deck. No secret missions or secondments off-screen for a change. As noted above, definitely the exception to the rule this season.

I've always thought that the show is better when one or more of the main cast are in peril, and we get that with Kensi and Fatima in this episode. Not that any of these much-loved characters are getting bumped off this late in the final season, though...

Song At The End
yasmin-attar25 October 2023
One of the best episodes, it really gets to my soul. The mournful song at the end, when Agent Namazi is in the boathouse, is "Messenger" by Iranian chant music singer Mamak Khadem. Namazi is grieving the oppression of women in her home country, the whole world actually, where women and girls are so brutally controlled. I'm sorry this series ended it was an amazing NCIS production.

This episode also uses one of my favorite lines in a tv show but I won't give it away because I said this comment doesn't contain spoilers. Again, it is Agent Namazi who utters it after she kicks the perpetrators a##.

New writers and some technical advisers.

Warning: Spoilers
Am I the only one that noticed that tying someones hands around a cars headrest is idiotic. I'm like 98% sure that all headrests literally pull out and the lever is usually right there. Also G and Sam firing at the bad guys with the car where Fatima and Kinsi were both tied up was directly behind the bad guys. That car should have been full of holes. I know everyone is convinced by Hollywood that car doors stop bullets, but that is BS. The engine block will stop most, but the car (or truck) body is just thin sheet metal. All this plus the terrible plots and writing the last several seasons is just really disappointing from a show I used to love. It's been steadily getting worse since the Ops wonder twins (Nell and Eric) left.
