I don't usually write reviews but I came across this one and I had to respond. Is this reviewer talking about the correct movie or did he confuse it with something else? I watched For Better For Worse when it was released and then watched it again and again because I loved it and so did my family. It was a laugh a minute and thoroughly entertaining. What I loved is that it was such clever humour, not silly or slapstick (the Home Affairs scene was a classic!). I also loved that, as a South African Indian I could totally relate to it as it was such a real portrayal of our experience. Yes it had stereotypes because a) that's what happens and b) it was sending them up. Or maybe this reviewer just didn't get that. In any case, I'm still surprised that they could give it such a malicious review. There's so much more to recommend the film. Great acting especially from the lead actress, breathtaking shots of Durban and catchy music.
