Rayen Hediji drew a lot of inspiration from the movie War Dogs (2016) for the universe of his film; the comic duo (Miles Teller and Jonah Hill), the change of job and life, the desert scene, as well as the concept of the Voice Over.
While filming the drive in Los Angeles, crews got stuck in traffic due to the mass return of residents following the end of the Thanksgiving weekend.
The shooting was divided into three parts: the first in Los Angeles in November, the second in Paris in January, and the third again in Paris in March.
The initial script of A Golden Job was written as a feature film by Rayen Hediji and Alexis Landry, but in the end the director preferred to start with a short film and try to get more funds for the future long version.
All the interior scenes that take place in Los Angeles in the film were actually shot in Paris and its suburbs.
