It’s time once more for Wrestlemania the biggest professional wrestling and sports entertainment event for fans and performers that there is. This year the event is held in Orlando, the home of Nxt – where a lot of the current roster of superstars got their start -and as usual (at least on paper) the card doesn’t seem that great. But that’s the thing with the WWE’s biggest pay per view, there’s always surprises: especially when it comes to Wrestlemania moments….
We’ve already covered the kick-off pre-show, so onto the main event, hosted by The New Day, who kick off proceedings with a typical New Day promo – only this time they’re dressed like Final Fantasy characters (gotta get that video game sponsorship money right?) Though you have to give it to Big E for the double-entendre, hacker-centric joke about “pulling levers” then staring at Xavier Woods!

Well the road to Wrestlemania continues for the WWE with the Raw-exclusive pay-per-view Fastlane, one of the companies lesser PPV’s… For most fans this is just the WWE spinning it’s wheels while waiting for the biggest event in the wrestling calendar.
Taking place at the Bmo Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Fastlane opens with a video package showing all the big matches: Owens vs Goldberg, Bayley vs Charlotte, and Reigns vs Strowman. So we know right there that the only titles possibly changing hands in this event will be either the Womens Title or Universal Championship – Gallows and Anderson surely to retain given the non-focus on their match.
As always Spoilers if you haven’t seen the PPV yet…
Opening Fastlane is Samoa Joe vs Sami Zayn in a match that is sure to Not live up to the fantastic Nxt rivalry the pair had prior to their subsequent call-ups.

In my 25 years as a wrestling fan, Royal Rumble has always been one of my favourite annual events. The opportunity to see a bunch of your favourite WWE stars and the potential for surprises make it a night to keep an eye on. This year has some interesting matches, and the Rumble itself it set to be a star-studded affair featuring a handful of veteran names from the past, primarily Goldberg, Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker.
The Kick-Off show matches began with the women of Smackdown Live going at it in a six-woman tag team match. It was a shame that this seemingly got bumped from the main show, and I hope more effort is given to the women’s division on Smackdown soon. There are seperate feuds going on, so maybe we will see multiple women’s matches at the next Smackdown Live exclusive PPV. Nikki Bella, Naomi and...

WWE’s annual Extreme Rules PPV always finds itself full of gimmick matches such as table matches, ladder matches, street fights and things of that nature, so it’s no surprise that the 2016 version of Extreme Rules is also full of these types of matches. Sometimes it can result in overkill, other times it can result in an entertaining event. Let’s hope this event ticks the entertaining option.

So, the post-WrestleMania PPV, Payback, has happened (over a week ago now) and it was a night of good, bad and in-between but it was fresh and had a feel of something new, like WWE are making an effort to build new stars (finally).
Results: Kick-Off Show: Kalisto retained his Us Title against Ryback Kick-Off Show: Dolph Ziggler beat Baron Corbin The Vaudevillains and Enzo & Big Cass went to a no-contest Kevin Owens pinned Sami Zayn The Miz beat Cesaro to retain his I-c Title Dean Ambrose beat Chris Jericho Charlotte retained her Women’s Title against Natalya via ref stoppage Roman Reigns successfully defended his World Title against Aj Styles
The PPV started with the Kick-Off show. The Corbin/Ziggler match felt like a typical television match and featured Ziggler bumping around for Corbin. Strangely, Ziggs won the match. The other Kick-Off match was much better than expected.

Date: Saturday 16th August
Competition: Premier league
Venue: Old Trafford
Kick-Off: 12:45
Head-to-head league record: Manchester United wins 11, draws 5, Swansea wins 6.
Can United recapture their form and better their 13 year low of 64 points from last season? Will Swansea’s eye-catching strike force give Van Gaal nightmares?
For the second season in a row the Welsh side face United on the opening game – though this time at Old Trafford rather than the Liberty – and Garry Monk will be hoping that they can avoid a repeat of the 4-1 defeat handed out by David Moyes.
A lot has happened since then, and Swansea fans might well be buoyed by the fact that they’re not facing the champions this time out. But United have been given an injection with the arrival of extremist manager Louis Van Gaal, of whom you can’t help but expect big things...

Shaw Brothers films are not exactly at the top of many film buffs’ watching list. For one, there has not been a traditional Shaw film, opening fanfare and all, in close to 30 years and a hefty portion of the public do not give catalogue films the time of day. Even for those who do, there is a vast selection of genres, directors, actors and studios that, often for good reason, will strike someone’s fancy more so than a 1960s, 70s or early 80s Shaw production.
It is widely known that said movies were produced at the speed of light, like cheap toys on a factory production line. Even so, their legacy lives on, with the bountiful number of martial arts films made and released in countries around the world, in addition to their critical role in making Kung Fu films popular in North America. For the decidedly smaller band...

Actor tells fans to 'grow up' after denying reports that he will star in Edgar Wright's film version of the diminuative Marvel superhero
• Simon Pegg stirs Ant-Man rumour pot
• Pegg and Wright on their latest film, The World's End
Simon Pegg has denied signing up to play Marvel's Ant-Man in the forthcoming comic book movie from his friend Edgar Wright, and told fans who took a snap of the actor pointing to the diminutive superhero as evidence he had signed on to role to "grow up".
The internet was flooded with reports that Pegg had confirmed his involvement in the long-gestating movie after the star tweeted a photograph taken during a visit to Marvel's HQ on Thursday night. But the British actor, whose collaborations with Wright include cult TV comedy Spaced, zombie rom-com Shaun of the Dead and buddy cop spoof Hot Fuzz, has now revealed he was just messing about.

Simon Pegg set off an Internet brush fire on Thursday when he tweeted a photo of himself at Marvel's headquarters standing in front of a mural of painted Marvel characters, pointing at Ant-Man. And it just so happens that Pegg's good friend and frequent collaborator Edgar Wright is directing the upcoming "Ant-Man" movie (due in theaters in 2015).
So, yes, the Internet was abuzz with "Is Simon Pegg going to play Ant-Man?" type rumors and speculation. Pegg then had to tweet an explanation that, no, that's not what he meant.
Ffs the Internet, all I did was point at the central character in my dear friend's next movie, because I'm excited for him. #iamantman
