Now that's more like it! Great penultimate episode, best one so far. Warning: Spoilers
After last week's episode, I thought they were going to kill Kira as a catalyst between Helena and Sarah. It would have been a cheap move, and wouldn't have had the gut punch they would have been expecting. Luckily, they didn't go down that route. Also, they don't just save Kira's life in some unbelievable way, they set it up as a plot thread. I thought that it was overall a really great way to handle it.

After that, the episode just continues to get better and better. Alison is confronted about her recent behavior in an intervention style meeting, and she ends up having a rant that reminded me a lot of Tyrion's trial from Game Of Thrones. It was a great performance moment from Tatiana Maslany.

Speaking of which, the situation between Cosima and Delphine reaches a head. This was a painful scene, but I still think that this is the weakest story thread overall. The police finally put the pieces together. Tensions between Sarah, Helena, and the warring religious and scientific organizations continue to rise. It looks like everything is coming to a head next episode.

Hurtling towards the season finale, this is high octane entertainment

"Unconscious Selection" is a fast moving episode. With so many plot threads twisting around each other, there's little time to pause for breath.

The cast are excellent. Maria Doyle Kennedy is always great and she's especially believable as Sarah's foster mum.

The viewer's feelings towards Alison Hendrix and Helena will most likely have evolved by this stage. Alison isn't just a stereotypical "soccer mum", she's a very likeable and three-dimensional character. Helena is a tragic figure, far from the one-dimensional psycho-killer I was imagining at the outset.

9 out of 10.

Not just clones, but twins

Warning: Spoilers
It's heartbreaking to see Sarah worrying about her daughter and luckily Alison is there to lighten the tone of the episode by cleaning up Felix's disgusting apartment and participating in a funny intervention. Cosima reacts strongly to Delphine's betrayal even though she knew she was her monitor I guess because she had little hope that she was wrong or that Delphine would not report information to Leekie. Throughout the series we are led to believe that Kira has powers, now physical and later almost prescient, that are never explained, which to me is one of the few weaknesses of the series. When Art watches Beth's suicide and realizes he's been dealing with Sarah Manning for a long time, it is one of my favorite scenes from the first season. The new character with the bay windows is, in my opinion, one of the most interesting and mysterious of "Orphan Black". Finally, the revelation is announced: Helena and Sarah have a connection since they are even closer than clones; they are twins.

A much better episode with thrilling vibes and a smooth flow. So far, it has been on and off, finding itself and developing, serving us (at last) some delicious dishes with the dessert yet to come.
