Finally a story line to what we are used to

Warning: Spoilers
Between NCIS & NCIS LA these are & have been my favorite shows. There was a while when NCIS was weak and LA was exceptional and vice versa.

This episode though is what this series has been about, and I loved it. I guess since the show is going away (I still cannot believe it) the writers/brain trust has constructed story lines that have given this show an identity. There has been to much "fluff" in the story lines and not enough episodes like this.

I was hoping Henrietta would make an appearance tonight, for sure though in either of the next 2 episodes.

We still have so much to learn about "G" but this episode filled in some of the voids.

I'm sad that NCIS LA is going away.

Looking forward to the next 2 episodes.

"The Reckoning"

Warning: Spoilers
The last season of NCIS" Los Angeles has been a mixed bag to put it mildly. But, when the episodes are good, they are really good, and that's the case with '"The Reckoning", which puts a cap on the Drona/Pembroke story - at least it seems like it does - in pretty dramatic fashion.

It was quite something seeing Hetty on 'Previously on...' at the start of the episode, considering we haven't really seen her on screen in years.

Lots of good stuff to unpack, and the final scenes between Callan (who got teary-eyed at one point) and Pembroke was quite something. Probably some of the best non-action scenes the show has ever put to screen.

How cool was it to find out how Sam and Callan got their start as partners? Talk about bringing things full circle late in the show's run. Really nice work.

Episode 1419

Warning: Spoilers
Seeing Jere Burns take on an almost serious role was a change of pace for sure as we're used to extremely goofy characters like in Angie Tribeca and even as a villain on Justified. This was not a fitting end to G's story though and I hope that we get an appearance, even a brief one, by Hetty in the finale next week.

But the episode did have a story that kept me engaged for the full hour, and we got to see Fatima briefly in the action for what seems like far too long. She has become a great character and this season has sort of been pushed to the side for reasons I don't fully comprehend right now.

Wow! I'm surprised!

I'm blown away, I had no idea these current writers had it in them. This was so far the best and most well written episode of the season, there were terrible lines and goofy issues but overall this was actually a good episode.
