It’s time for another slate preview, and today we’ll look through all the upcoming German-language movies and series we know are in development at Netflix for release in 2024 and beyond.
2023 was a big year for new German-language Netflix Originals, with a dozen releases in total. Dear Child was perhaps the biggest, spending six weeks in the global top 10s in total. As a reminder, all the new German titles included:
1899 (Multilingual) Big Mäck: Gangsters and Gold Blood & Gold Cyberbunker: The Criminal Underworld Dear Child Eldorado: Everything the Nazis Hate Hard Feelings Making All Quiet on the Western Front Paradise Sleeping Dog Till Murder Do Us Part: Soering vs. Haysom Too Hot to Handle: Germany Woman of the Dead

Big Mäck: Gangsters and Gold (Big Mäck – Gangster und Gold) is a documentary directed by Fabienne Hurst, Andreas Spinrath and Facundo Scalerandi.
A fascinating documentary about a man who is accused of a robbery and, after being proven innocent, gets out. Years later, he is accused of another similar crime. Could it be a coincidence?
Stellwag was a colorful and robust man, one of those people who do not go unnoticed, not even robbing a bank at gunpoint, Bonnie and Clyde style.
As he himself tells us in the documentary: they put the only “giant fat man” in a lineup and it’s impossible not to be singled out.
Stellwag is sentenced to 9 years after being denied a coherent alibi. He was convicted on account of his physical appearance (and his left ear). After being released from prison (9 whole years) our protagonist gets out of prison and, once again, receives...

Love Is Blind season four, Murder Mystery 2, Rob Lowe starrer Unstable and docuseries Waco: American Apocalypse and Emergency: NYC are among the much-anticipated projects hitting Netflix this month.
Dating show Love Is Blind returns on March 24, featuring a new group of singles looking to make a connection based on something other than looks.
Later in the month, the streamer drops Rob and John Owen Lowe’s Unstable, a scripted comedy inspired by the playful dynamic between the real-life father and son. In the series, co-created by Santa Clarita Diet creator Victor Fresco, the elder Lowe plays successful biotech entrepreneur Ellis Dragon who is struggling after the death of his wife. John Owen Lowe plays his introverted son, Jackson, who seems to be the only one who can save his dad.
And Netflix closes out the month with Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler’s Murder Mystery 2. The sequel finds Aniston...
