Great musics, good performance - well done

Warning: Spoilers
Film location, characters, film musics were just great. There were some scenes where you just don't find some jokes funny at all but overall, really enjoyed the scenario. Representation of the Kurdish culture, Kurdish music, the Assyrians, the Armenians, and the Yezidi cultures were just great samples of normalization of the mood against the differences in Turkey. Greatly done. This region has a lot of different ethnic and religious backgrounds, and of course there are many good endless stories, which could feed the movie sector for a very long time. Acknowledgment of the differences within Turkey, will bring bright future, without conflicts and war.

Great movie explaining the real reason behind the ethical conflicts in Turkish society. It reminded me another movie names "Davaro" by Kemal Sunal. Must watch movie!

A feel good story
ersbel8 August 2017
A feel good story. Men are lazy. But they are the base of the society. In the end, the women still need a man to do their job. And they are constantly nagging, like women do. Sure, there is corruption, but there is good corruption and bad corruption. Amusing up to a point to see a variation on the usual theme of male supremacy and how some manly women can do part of the job.

Warning: Spoilers
"Sometimes she would do a jacket, then unravel it the next moment because there was something that didn't please her; it was pleasant to see a pile of tangled wool in her knitting basket fighting a losing battle for a few hours to retain its shape." Irene spends her time knitting and does it with so much care that a single part that doesn't appeal to her eye is enough to make her unravel her entire work. Yet when she finishes her knitting, nothing happens to what she makes. Her brother defends her by saying she knits necessities differing from other women but still confesses he deems knitting something women do when they discover it is the best way to not do anything at all. "One day I found that the drawer at the bottom of the chiffonier, replete with mothballs, was filled with shawls, white, green, lilac. Stacked amid a great smell of camphor." What Irene does to spend time, doesn't put out any great result such effort could have in any other case like working in a job maybe. They don't win anything from Irene's knitting. It's only a waste of yarn, work, and time. The brother and sister have nothing more than time anyway. And their life seems to be built on spending rather than producing something.
