This is a horrible game. Set up for violence and burial conflict. People seeing this makes the world a worse place. The conflicts aren't even interesting its just lazy people resorting to violence to get what the think they need. Through episode 2 I don't see any redeeming qualities with the contestants given the parameters of the challenge. There are huge gaps in footage and reasoning for the actions taken by contestants as well as production. Stealing resources is allowed, and officially fighting for resources is also allowed. There is only negativity in this show. I do like the host, but I feel sorry for him that he got roped up in this community destroyer.

When I read the description of the show I was excited and had big hopes. I watch Alone, Survivor, Naked and Afraid and I enjoy them, I am a fan of those shows. However, this show seems to be more about bullies/bullying in my opinion. There is not that much footage or focus about surviving. If you expecting a "survival" show this is not it or the format is highly imbalance where your knowledge about surviving is secondary. Instead, if you are strong and know how to "wrestle" you are good.

Most survivalists are about knowledge of the environment what can you eat, how can you hunt games, etc. Not all of them are Athletes or super strong physically. But this show is mostly focused on hoarding items and to get items you fight for it. No surprise, the strong people (a few) just bully everyone else for their resources.

If this game show was supposed to be more focused on the competition/fighting portion instead of the surviving part, they should have make sure all participants were wrestlers/fighters or at least have diverse/balanced competition games like in Survivor. Instead this was like watching dogs fight.

Bully to survive / Get bullied and survive should be the name of this show.

I enjoy watching different reality TV shows with my mom. It's become part of our family time and we like commenting together on different shows. If you're looking for a family show, this isn't it. There is a group but particularly 3 members of that group that act rude, highly aggressive, and take whatever they want from the other people on the island out of greed and jealousy. It makes the show hard to watch because each episode so far that we've watched (up to Season 1 Ep 5), the bully group act progressively worse. They remind me of Lord of the Flies with the disturbing screaming and everything. And the worst part is that the competitive game is almost entirely strength based and of course the 3 people acting like bullies are significantly physically stronger than the others. This has resulted in the physically weaker contestants getting injuries almost every time they enter the ring. The producers did a terrible job balancing this show and casting it.

This show is a training video about how to be a bully. It shows people with no skills, but muscles. Picking on those who are weaker, but actually have survival skills. I can't even find enough words for the required review character count that is needed. This show does not deserve that many characters being used to describe it. The challenge parts are all brawn, no mental challenges. It would be a lot more interesting for different types of challenges. Wow still need 126 more characters. Remenber self care is important for everyone, take care of you physical and mental wellbeing. Drink plenty of water.

This is the Worst show ever. I have never seen a show where being a bully has a reward.

The team with positive attitude and kind behavior and that is actually good at surviving off the island without the need of any "items" is considered the loosing team and the team that all they do is sleep, laziness and violence are the winners.

I am stunned that.

At least cast contenders that have same martial art background and make it challenging for all the teams rather than the sad outcome where the weak team are volunteering to leave cause they don't want to be bullied.

The creator of this show should never be allowed near a camera set again.

PLEASE DONT LET YOUR KIDS WATCH THIS GARBAGE.

If it was up to me This show should be taken off air immediately.

Wanted to like but was just a bullying competition. Way too many dropouts even setting aside the late ones that quit and refused the physical competitions. Nappy Missy was just disgusting throughout. Save the hood rat behavior for your everyday life. Just trash. Amal was almost as bad. J at least showed some class throughout. He, the competitive athlete, deserved to win the bullying physical competition.

Changing the rules 3/4 way through the show was terrible. Didn't blame those on Team survive bailing. Not worth 10-15k to have to deal with possible long term physical ailments. The show should have been named Bully to Survive.

Id be surprised if another season of show happens w/o a more variety of eliminations outside of purely physical one.

I've watched five episodes of this series and have come to the conclusion that If you've seen one fight on this show, you've seen them all. Terrible execution of a good concept. Using contestants from other venues is interresting, but not plausible in this circumstance because it is a straight-up physical competition where size and strength are the overriding considerations. Pick out the strongest two or three people at the beginning of the series and you already know who will win. None of the others stand a chance because intelligence and situational endurance are not necessary. Wish it had been better.

I was amazed that the CW would allow this display of nastiness, avarice, and bullying to air on their network. The premise was good, survive on an island, have competitions to fight it out eliminating players along the way, and win the prize. But it quickly went wrong. Competitions were based simply on brute strength, causing an immediate unfair advantage to physically larger and stronger contestants. The others didn't stand a chance in the fight part of the competition, even though they may have been the best survivalists out there, Almost immediately those with the brute strength teamed up, and it became a game of bullying those who were weaker. In addition to that there was an extreme display of greed in the game. That led to a lot of nastiness, foul language, betrayals, and bullying. A few players bowed out rather than compromise their own morals. Many are hurt along the way both physically, with some extractions due to physical injury, and psychologically, due to the incredible displays of bullying.

Would not recommend this program for any viewer, particularly younger viewers.

I wasn't all that impressed in the begining of the show but got onboard with the surviver vs fighters. It was going to be interesting to see who outlasted who. Stepping in and making it all about the strongest after team survive used their skills to go so far was really disappointing I'm done and don't plan on wasting time on any CW reality shows. Mis lead. Poor show. Bad premise. Unfair to contestants Designed to intentionally cause confrontation. Ridiculous that to comment I have to write all this. Obviously it's Designed to discourage negative comments. I can't believe I took the time to comments.

The idea for this show is basically a mashup of shows that already exist, particularly Survivor, the Challenge, and Million Dollar Island. It's a solid idea but it is terribly executed. The competitive portion of the game ultimately comes down to a physical battle to hold onto an item. Fight classes exist in professional fighting for a reason. You have two or three physically dominant contestants throwing around the other contestants like rag dolls. There's absolutely no real competition whatsoever. You know who's going to win before the match even takes place, which makes the whole 'challenge' element of the game utterly pointless. I'm honestly surprised people weren't seriously hurt. You have a jacked male and female team battling out of shape male/female teams who are twice their age. The contestants all should have been within the same range of fitness and competitiveness. CW, watch the Challenge and take notes. You had a great opportunity to create something of your own and you completely missed the mark.

I really liked this series. I watched from the first episode to the last episode on Roku. It has a really interesting premise. Basically allowing the contestants to survive in the normal way (like foraging for food and finding water) OR they are allowed to physically challenge each other in a fighting ring in the center of the island. If you don't like physical confrontations then this is not a good series for you. But if you like that stuff (like I do), it's great raw visceral action within the context of surviving. I think this is how cavemen and women had to survive back in prehistoric times!

The show promotes bullying behavior and forces people to only fight physically by fighting to grab a ring with nasty hurtful moves to win. People who try to fight without the intention to hurt others end up being hurt, bullied, lost the game. The producer doesn't have control over hurtful behavior. Lying, twisted from the truth. It was very disturbing/upsetting to see this kind of show broadcasting.

I would stay away from the same producer or director for this kind of show. Most of the participants with integrity and dignity left the show early for not willing to be a part of the bully/being bullied environment. Not enjoyable. Waste of time. Bring negative emotions into life. Safe your time for other shows.

I wanted to like this. It has all the ingredients for a programme that should...should be an enjoyable watch. It has familiar people we've all seen before if you watch Survivor type shows. People who know how to use tactics, people who don't mind going without to get to a win. People who are willing to compete with each other. People from 'Survivor', 'Alone', Naked and afraid'..you get the picture. Theoretically they know what they're doing and they also know how to react to camera and be interesting. And yet it's not a good watch.

It's not about surviving, it's about fighting. It's appealing to something rather unpleasant in human nature and rewarding it.

Consequently any given episode revolves around people moaning and being genuinely uncomfortable and these are people used to survival situations. Plotting to make life as horrific as they possibly can for the others is the way to go. In other words for me it's nasty.

It goes against many of the principles of the shows a lot of them have been in before. Seems that survival principles are for sale.

What's bothering me is this trend towards who can inflict the most discomfort on the rest seems to be the way this type of show is going. Who behaves the worst and the cruelest is the featured contestant and might well win. Where is this going ?

As unlikely as that seems consider...the closing hook on an episode is that someone says forcefully they are going to make people fight for water. Really ? Water ?

Chances are this won't actually happen but it's the selling point for next week.

If you enjoy this kind of thing go for it. Not for me.

To me it's appealing to an aspect of humanity that is a concern.

This show has NO strategy at all. It simply boils down to 1 thing, and that is, who is the biggest and strongest physically. In this first season the best survivalists had NO chance. It was simply who won the strength contests. It would save a lot of time and wasted energy to just put them in an MMA ring (no weight classes) and let them fight. Of course the two last remaining contestants had zero survival skills. Even though they had ALL the fishing and hunting gear, the only supply of fresh water, the fire stick, and EVERY tool. . the cooking pot, the machete, the canteen etc. The final 2 had no idea how to get food. But they were bigger and stronger than the rest, so one of them had to win. This is like a modern version of "Lord of the Flies". Complete with the bullying, the selfishness and self justification with a chunk of greed thrown in to make it less enjoyable. If watching a 6' 2" amazon woman, take on a 5' 2" woman that is, 70lbs lighter, in a strength contest is your idea of a fair show. This might be for you. The rules are pathetically lopsided and the gloating of the bullies made this unwatchable. I will pass next season.

First, I have always like and respected Akbar Gbajabiamila. Second, my wife and I have enjoyed every season of Survivor. That being said, Fight to Survive is a great disappointment. You have a group of young adults who act like spoiled brats and bullies. Name calling and finger pointing seem to be the main strategy. The world has enough hate and hostility as it is... it does need to be encouraged on TV. Let's hope that producers, directors and writers decide to change what they think Americans like to watch and come up with something better. And I still respect Akbar, but I hope he sees the mistake in this adventure.

I love watching survival shows, but I've found myself wondering how primitive people really survived in the wilderness. Making fire and shelter was awfully important, but I've always thought that being able to physically take food and being able to defend yourself had to have been just as important. That's why I was so excited to see this series that seems to show what primitive survival was really like before modern society's laws and institutions took over. Sure it's got some physical violence, but guess what, so did the real world in primitive times (and now). I think this series is an accurate representation of how it would really be to survive as a cave man or woman.

I love watching survival shows but this one is more like fighters against survivalist. It was hard to watch people get bullied, drugged, and abused that actually have survivor skills. A former military personnel was the most outrageous to watch because she showed no survivor skills just aggression. I wish they had better rules for verbal and physical abuse on this show. It's more like watch the "real world" outside living, than a survivor show. Definitely hard to watch and drama. Majority of the contestants have the experience to survive but the love of survival was taken away because of the attitudes of and lack of survival skills of other players.
