As someone who has followed bull riding and gone to rodeos for most of my life, I've really enjoyed watching this first season of The Ride. It's been great to watch the team dynamic play out in this new format, and I've truly enjoyed in-depth look into the riders' lives and backgrounds. And as the wife of someone who I jokingly call a "rodeo novice", I've enjoyed seeing my husband's response to the show as well. He's become more interested in the sport as he watched the season and became more invested in their personal stories. I think the strength of the show lies within those personal stories of each rider. My only *truly minimal* critique would be that they should've given a little more detail at the start about how *exactly* the team series works (i.e. More detail into the draft, team scoring/advancing in more detail, do they redraft each year, etc.). These details could help everyone from someone who is dipping their toe into the bull riding arena for the first time via Prime, or even traditional PBR fans who aren't yet fully understanding of this new format and its rules. That little critique aside, this show has been a pleasure to watch and I can't wait for the second season.
