What an enthusiastic episode! I'm glad I got to enjoy this episode without any over-the-top stereotypes or derogatory jokes. It sucks that we had to wait for 30 somethin seasons to get a backstory on Carl, but I'm glad it was during this writing era because, like any other in the past, it may not have been so respectful, unfortunately. I appreciate The Simpsons for the respective representation of Carl and finally finding his roots while also allowing a side character to get a happy romantic ending. Aside from all else, I enjoyed this episode the most because of the obvious, no annoying narcissistic Lisa!
