In Grants, New Mexico there is a small-town legend of Chester, a street fighter who can't feel any pain. When Annie, a bowling alley employee who just moved into town, challenges him for a fight, things begin to change.
After witnessing the death of his parents, 14-year-old Chester stops feeling any physical pain. His distant cousin Nelson sees the opportunity of a lifetime and turns him into an invincible prize fighter, making him part of his gang and making money off of him. But when Chester meets Annie, who moved into town after her father bought Nelson's old bowling alley, things begin to change.
