I can see what the film was trying to do...

I think in trying so hard to be sentimental and artistic the film actually came across a little to pretentious and shallow. The dialogue wasn't sufficient enough to be convincing which was disappointing because the storyline was beautiful and could have delivered on the arthouse feel the film appeared to be going for. Props for effort to the director and the actors were beautiful in their respective roles, but it sadly didn't work as well as it could have for me.

There were some truly mesmerising cinematic shots - like our protagonist making a hole in the flower box she crafts to deal with her sadness and looking through it. If moments like that had been built upon alongside better dialogue, I think this would have been an indie masterpiece.
