I accidentally stumbled upon this film at the Martovski Festival in Belgrade, and I consider myself lucky that I did. I really enjoyed watching it. From the first minute, the director skillfully plays with the viewers' anticipation of what is to come, constantly switching between the present moment and fragments of the protagonists' memories until the final revelation of the "whole story." The actors did a fantastic job, and you can immediately relate to the characters. This film tells an important story and raises universal questions about freedom, which are perhaps more relevant today than ever before. "Milena" is a surprisingly refreshing and brave film.
