For criminal investigation dramas, the most difficult part is to keep audience stay focus on tracing who the murderer is. For 24 episodes, it's hard to achieve but it eventually made it! This suspense lasted until the last 2 episodes!

During the serial murder case for13 years, it well describes human nature step by step and how crime breeds. What is really impressive is that the chemistry between Lao Wei and Xiao Lu, it also demonstrates the portrayal of people's dark side which is far exceeding the crime spectacle.
The director's shooting skills is good as the play intersects with main narrative, interlude narrative, and flashback, making the two lines of 1997 and 2010 parallel. The flow is smooth.
