I'm a huge Bigfoot fan, have been since I was a kid, and I love the whole genre, but I honestly think this movie might have been made as a gag. If anyone remembers Will Ferrell's role as Eric Jonrosh in Spoils of Babylon, I'm pretty sure that's the joke. "Rock", the leading man IS Eric Jonrosh.

The dialog in this movie is so stilted and disjointed it makes the exchanges between Brick Tamland and Chani Lastaname seem positively Shakespearean. Every actor in this movie reads their lines like Beldar Conehead. It's painful to watch, but I'm absolutey dying to see the Rifftrax crew tackle it.

All that being said, I thought Birdemic was a joke too, but then I read a little about James Nguyen and I realzed he's a modern-day Ed Wood. I hope these directors never stop making these masterpieces.

As a Bigfoot fan, I have set a relatively low bar for films on the topic. Although there are some decent productions, the majority are at best mediocre. As much as I wanted to like this movie, it falls short of that average threshold. Overall this film is quite rough and amateurish. To be honest, the film was a couple of notches above the storyline portion of your average porn flick, but without the payoff of course.

Was this film low budget? Yes (well at least I hope so). Nonetheless, I have seen many low-budget films that out-delivered this movie. On the positive side, there were a few scenes with stunning cinematography. The actual story itself wasn't great, but it had potential to be enjoyable. Even with some predictability and the plot being driven by poor-decision making, it still could have worked. The rest was, however, significantly lacking. The acting was stiff, and the script didn't help. Consequently, it was difficult to emotionally connect with any of the characters. The special effects were bad. The camera work, lighting, audio, soundtrack, etc. Were mostly below average. Props were naturally low-budget, which I can deal with. However the Bigfoot costume-a gorilla suit featuring a plastic face with no facial movement-buried the movie for me. No amount of lighting or shaky camera can fix that.

Wooden acting and horrible dialogue. Our supposed leader is ex-navy seal, yeah ok, maybe in his mind he was. Decked out in pleated Dockers he is ready for the outdoors. Mr ManBoobs(the ex navy seal) can barely make a believable effort to get up a cliff with a rope all while also acting as the romantic leading man. His wife prolly didn't die, she left him because he insisted on wearing Dockers on every hiking trip. Nice $19.99 party central plastic Bigfoot mask gorilla outfit. It was like watching the golden bachelor episode if it was filmed in a state park with really average looking contestants with worse acting abilities.
