I saw this at the Frederick Film Festival in Maryland. I heard that we find things funny when they make us feel really uncomfortable and then our brain realizes it's jut funny? The audience loved this film. I once was a poetry reading with a fellow who just kept repeating "evil, evil, evil" and then saying expletives about at his parents who were there in the audience to support him- it takes a situation like that and just explores it and plumbs the humor! The acting is TREMENDOUS. But the reason to watch is that It has a couple of moments of transcendent brilliance - One brought me back to one of my earliest and strangest memories - that of having someone stare just a little too long back at me and then break into a strange face. . . which caused me to laugh uproariously.
