The beginnings of Warner Brothers featured a promise to a powerful father who insisted that his sons stick together and they would be safe. When they saw the dawn of moviemaking, they knew what they wanted to do. They seemed nicely balanced quartet. Each had his talent that fit into a single enterprise. But each had a strong personality and one of them was filled with ambition. This led to betrayal and deceit later. Their productions were mostly wonderful. They had star power and strength of purpose. But one of the brothers felt he knew best. He had no problem working one of them to death and later we see how power corrupts. World War II came along and the Red Scare, making everyone think. This presentation does a decent job of getting the portrayal of Warner Brothers off the ground. I look forward to the other three episodes to see if there is a focus on individual films.
