This is a touching, valuable TV show that I wish there were more of. Instead of the usual "friendship is important" talk that most series for children this age focus on, "What's the big idea?" manages to talk about topics that are rarely ever touched. Often because they are hard to explain and therefore regarded as unsuitable for young kids. This show makes the effort to try and almost always comes up this fantastic examples that make even complex topics like "What makes me Human?", "What is sadness?" and "What's the difference between wanting and needing?" accessible to a preschool audience without being teachy. The show is open enough to leave lots of room for further questions and never seems to follow a specific agenda.
I have now watched about half of the existing episodes and am very much looking forward to the rest of it.
