While I haven't seen the show since it came a little before my time (but I'm very curious about it and one of these days I might give it a try), the
main theme from "Moonlighting" by Al Jarreau is one of my favorite songs of all time and I never get tired of it. Sonorous, classy and full of style and
rhythm, it's Jarreau at its peak in that decade along with "After All", "The Music of Goodbye" and many others.
For the music video, it's a simple concept involving Jarreau performing the song inside a fancy hotel with elevator doors closing and opening and changing to show clips from Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd characters in "Moonlighting". Basic, a soundtrack video to promote the show and its fabulous main theme. It's simply elegant and irresistible, and just writing about it it makes me wanna sing. 9/10.
