A sneak preview of Entropy (2024) screened during Arctic Peoples' Day at UN's climate conference COP28 in Dubai, UAE in December 2023. Though Inuk Jørgensen's Home (2018) had played at the Climate Crisis Film Festival in Glasgow during COP26 this is the first time a short of his has been connected to the actual climate conference.
Entropy (2024) premiered at CPH:DOX in March of 2024, a year that saw the festival receive a record number of submissions (3000+). Though many films dealing with Greenland has been shown at the festival through the years Entropy (2024) is one of just a handful that has a Greenlandic/Inuit director.
Already before production started in the summer of 2023 public interest in Entropy (2024) was considerably high as the first presentation of the idea for the film was before a live audience during the Arctic Festival in Copenhagen 2022, with a concept video premiering at the Native Indigenous Film Screening at European Film Market during the Internationale Filmfestspiele Berlin (Berlinale) the following February.
