Great concept, but a bit dull
peterrobertnixon20 October 2023
Really great concept, never been explored before, but could've been amazing if the stories linked together, and there was an overarching narrative. The skepticism and vulnerability of the radio host is never really explored.

Instead it's just a series of unrelated 10 min stories voiced over by croaky annoying callers. The homage to local radio late night niche programs is original, and if a decent producer was behind this film we would maybe have a classic.

The props and metaculture are great, and there are some beautiful visuals, but could've been so much more with a more experienced production team, sound editor, and witty writers.

Spooky Fun
irvingtonreader21 October 2023
This film looks and sounds great, especially considering the budget.

Spooky light hearted fun - the devil dolls are a blast.

When you were a kid if you liked Goosebumps, Are You Afraid of the Dark or Eerie Indiana this is right up your alley.

Interesting anthology format suggests any easy continuation into a sequel.

When someone talks about independent films they usually mean budgets in the low millions. This film looks better than most independently made films on a smaller budget.

J. P. Leck did all of the heavy lifting for this one. Unlike many "passion projects" this one contains some professional looking work.

Loved it!

Warning: Spoilers
I'm not really into Indi films, but this one is pretty good the first time I watched it. It gets better and better every time I watch it! So many Easter eggs and links to the works in the elsewhere universe. I even like the commentary! This one is pretty good.

Its about a late night radio show who is receiving calls on a Halloween night. So its comprises of several short stories, but it flows quite smoothly. Some stories have a twighlight zone feel. Some stories contain monsters. Clean horror.

The angles and sound are amazing! The comedy parts are clean and funny. Safe to watch with the family.

Excited for more scary stories

Warning: Spoilers
This movie had me covering my eyes at parts. I don't usually like scary stuff, but this film didn't feel dark and demented like a lot of horror nowadays.

Have you ever read a book and feel like you've become a part of the story yourself? That's how it comes to life. You get an attachment to certain characters and you hope that everything turns out good for them.

Well, that's the way it was more me watching the movie and "meeting" The callers.

I love how each of the characters stories draw me into it, and the prequel feeling I get that leads to the podcast that I already know and love!

Can't wait for moooooore!!!

Perfect for spooky season and lovers of Halloween!
dungeonmasternate1 October 2023
Was this movie a big budget, blockbuster movie loaded with special effects and big name actors? No, it wasn't. So why such a high rating from me? Well one of the characters in the film, in a very meta sort of reference says it best when he says the film is a "labor of love." That is truly what this film is. 100% independently made and done so very well with the budget they had!

This movie had such a great spooky atmosphere, great storytelling, some good scares, and just the right amount of humor.

I especially loved the fact that this movie can be enjoyed by pretty much all ages.

One of my favorite sub-genres of horror is family friendly horror and this fits that category perfectly!

If you're looking for something compelling and fun to watch this Halloween season I HIGHLY recommend CIRCLE CITY SUPERNATURAL! I promise you won't be disappointed!!!!

"This oughtta be good!"

If independently-financed micro-budget horror with practical effects, an engaging narrative, and a tone that doesn't it take itself entirely seriously throughout sounds like your kind of a good time, then 'Circle City Supernatural' might just be the movie for you! A true labor of love for the filmmaker, this anthology film features various horror films featuring young and talented performers in wonderful atmospheric locations throughout the filmmakers home state of Indiana and a number of DIY props, costumes, and effects that work together to craft an overall piece of art capable of making you laugh, cry, and maybe even feel something. Definitely worth your time and energy to check this one out!

Great indie horror anthology!
matthewhlong31 December 2023
I initially saw this film at the Port of Fear Film Festival in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Let me say, it did not disappoint!

What a great indie horror anthology!! It was full of great characters and interesting takes on classic horror genres. Each of the tales told had a mix of horror, sci-fi and just a splash of comedy. The creators really took the time to intertwine each story with the overall theme of the film.

As an indie filmmaker, I know how daunting a task it can be to create a feature film. It's amazing what you can accomplish with a little creativity and ingenuity! Bravo to Director J. P. Leck and all the cast and crew! I loved it!

A really long review

This is a wonderful original first film. Has quite a bit of suspense and scary with no blood and gore. The script is well written almost as if they were written specifically for each character the locations were well scouted and went well with the the theme of the film.

I believe this film maker is an up and coming director/writer and hopefully we will be seeing more of his work in the future.

It was very refreshing to watch a film without all the cursing and bloodshed nudity and innuendo that we see that we see in every film today.

This writer also has a series of books that are quite excellent and I highly recommend reading.
