The Actor Danny Plaza (Charlie Laureti) is the Uncle to actress Aubrey Plaza from the television series Parks and Recreation.
The courtroom scene that takes place in the film was shot at City Hall in Philadelphia, and was the same court room used in the movie "Philadelphia" 1993.
The director wanted the "South Philadelphia feel" present though out the film, and choose to shoot almost all of the film on location in South Philadelphia. There are only two scenes in the film not shot there. Locations included the Melrose Diner, Friendly Lounge, Washington Avenue, and the Italian Market Area.
The Tacony-Palmyra Bridge was shut done in order to shoot the "in car scene" after the heist.
The director not only was working on this film, but was also attending school at the time, and working a full time job. Shoots generally took place overnight. After the shoots, he often slept in the equipment van to then make it to morning classes.
