Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • Standard Sonic affair. Sonic destroys robots which explode and release animals trapped inside. Non-robot enemies disappear in a puff of smoke upon defeat.
  • About on the same level as Sonic Heros with its cartoon violence.
  • This game is much tamer than most of the other "main" Sonic games, as the violence has a much lighter tone and nobody's defeat results in any actual deaths. Jumping on robots to free animals is about as violent as the game gets.

Profanity

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • While the game is very fast-paced and frenetic, this is definitely one of the "lighter" Sonic games. The tone is mostly pretty laid-back, the stakes aren't terribly high, and overall, the game is just very fun and cartoony.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Knuckles and Amy are killed offscreen along with the rest of Sonic's planet when all of it's energy is sucked up by the Draining machine. Amy can be seen transmitting a video message to Sonic right before this although the screen cuts to black right before she dies, so nothing is seen. They are both revived later at the end of the game when the Planets energy is restored.
  • Tails is kidnapped by the Deadly Six halfway through the game and later turned into a robot. Although it is later revealed he reprogrammed the machine turning him into a robot so he wouldn't obey the Deadly Six.
  • Eggman is shown falling into a river of lava and is thought to be dead. It is later revealed he faked his death so he could build a mech to defeat Sonic after being worn down by the deadly six.
