Jeopardy! had yet another song question that caused a fan uproar. This time, it wasn’t a wrong answer or a complete lack of awareness but the question itself. When Ken Jennings read the clue, the answer angered many music purists, with one even saying that the show would “pay for this disrespect.”
Here is the question on the show this week and why it upset so many Jeopardy! fans.
Jeopardy! Offends Music Fans With Recent Question
Champion Adriana Harmeyer was on Jeopardy!, and she chose the category “Songs in the Key of Life.” Ken Jennings read the clue: “In the title of a Rascal Flatts song, ‘Life Is’ this type of road.” Adriana got the answer right when she said, “What is a highway?” This was a $400 answer, and it raised her total to $10,200.

Having graduated from Busan's Asian Film Academy in 2007, Chia Chee Sum (nicknamed Darrel) took his time to hone his patient craft. In 2018, he returned to the South Korean city to present “High Way” (2018), which won the Busan International Short Film Festival's Jury Prize. His gently observational, frequently amusing short film, about a young motorcyclist's hunt for his T-shirt along the corridors of a public-housing flat, was soon followed up by the China-set diaspora short〈烏達烏達〉“Otak-Otak” in 2019.
In October 2023, Oasis of Now competed in the New Currents section of Busan International Film Festival, where it was hailed as “the most beautiful film of this Busan competition”. Situated entirely in a crumbling apartment complex in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where Chee Sum lived, his first feature drops in on the clandestine meetings between a Vietnamese mother, Hanh, and her increasingly distant daughter, Ting Ting. Popular Bollywood actor Parineeti Chopra has two projects based on real-life stories in the works.
“Chamkila” is a biopic on Punjabi singer-songwriter pop star duo Amar Singh Chamkila and Amarjot Kaur, who shot to fame in the 1980s recording and performing songs that were social commentaries or devotionals, and which became massive hits. The duo was gunned down in Mehsampur village, Punjab, in 1988. Their assassination remains an unsolved mystery and was the subject of Kabir Singh Chowdhry’s 2018 mockumentary “Mehsampur.”
“Chamkila,” produced by Reliance Entertainment, is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, known for “Jab We Met” (2007), “Love Aaj Kal” (2009), “Rockstar” (2011) and “Highway” (2014). Pop star and actor Diljit Dosjanh (Netflix original film “Jogi”) plays Chamkila while Chopra plays Kaur.
“Diljit and I are going to be singing throughout the film. We’re doing like 12-15 songs because it’s a film on music. We’re doing live recordings on set.

Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor, who is awaiting the release of his highly anticipated movie ‘Brahmastra’, recently opened up on his favourite performance of his wife, Alia Bhatt.
Alia, who made her debut with the 2012 film ‘Student Of The Year’, has had quite an eventful journey in cinema as she has constantly delivered terrific performances one after the other but, after all these years, Ranbir’s favourite performance of Alia remains her second film, ‘Highway’.
Talking about it, Ranbir said in an IMDb Original video, “She’s probably had the best year any artist has ever had, in the history of actors. She’s had ‘Gangubai’, she’s had ‘Rrr’, she’s had ‘Darlings’. And now she’s going to have ‘Brahmastra’.
“The obvious choice would be ‘Gangubai’, but I actually became a fan of Alia from her second film onwards, and that was ‘Highway’

ReviewWhile the film begins with the interesting premise of a psycho killer who selects and kills his victims randomly, poor characterisation and an absurd climax let the viewers down.Balakrishna GaneshanDirector Kv Guhan’s Highway opens with these lines: “There will always be a reason why you meet people. Either you need to change your life or you are the one that’ll change later.” These lines sum up the crime thriller’s plot of how a journey accidentally brings together two people and an imminent danger. A psycho killer is on the prowl maiming and killing young women. The police are unable to catch him as he does not have a set pattern; all his victims are randomly abducted and killed. There seems to be no motive behind the murders. It is with this interesting and engaging premise that the film begins. Vishnu (Anand Deverakonda) is a wedding photographer.

People expect highway rides to be fast, racy, and smooth. But on screen, Telugu movie ‘Highway’, ace cinematographer Kv Guhan’s third directorial venture in Telugu, suffers on all three fronts. Interesting in patches but largely predictable, ‘Highway’ could yet appeal to die-hard fans of the ‘cat and mouse’ type serial killer genre.
The movie’s basic premise is set around a serial woman-killer and a determined lady cop in Hyderabad. ‘Highway’ shifts scene when a young village lass lands in his clutches, with her new love hot on their tracks. Despite the initial promise of a taut thriller, ‘Highway’ ends up meandering along to a rather unbelievable ending.
Vishnu, a promising photographer in Vizag sets out on a wedding coverage assignment in Bengaluru. On the way, he and his friend come to the aid of Tulasi, a village belle from near Amalapuram, in search of her father in Mangaluru,...

Years Of Lead: Five Classic Italian Crime Thrillers 1973-1977 will be available on Blu-ray June 22nd from Arrow Video. The titles are: Savage Three (1975), Like Rabid Dogs (1976),, Colt 38 Special Squad (1976), Highway Racer (1977) and Highway Racer (1977),
The 1970s were a time of intense uncertainty and instability in Italy. Political corruption and widespread acts of left and right-wing terrorism, alongside a breakdown in social cohesion and a loss of trust in public institutions such as the government and police, created a febrile atmosphere of cynicism, paranoia and unexploded rage. Throughout this period, these sentiments found expression in a series of brutal, often morally ambiguous crime thrillers which tapped into the atmosphere of violence and instability that defined the so-called Years of Lead.
This box set gathers five films from the heyday of the “poliziotteschi” – the umbrella term used to describe this diverse body of films. In Vittorio Salerno’s Savage Three (1975) and...

“A voice for today’s youth” runs the strap line to the Junior Gazette, the fictional newspaper at the heart of Press Gang, a kids’ show first broadcast on ITV in 1989 which followed a team of school children turned budding journalists. The fact is, Steven Moffat was something of a youth himself at 25 years old when he landed his very first television writing gig. Press Gang was an idea his father Bill Moffat, a headmaster, had pitched to a producer who was visiting his school while filming an episode of Highway, and when a script was requested, Bill suggested Steven write it.
The show was a game changer. It won multiple awards, launched the career of its lead Julia Sawalha, turned Dexter Fletcher – now an extremely accomplished director – into a teenage heartthrob and gave Moffat the space to flex his writing muscles beginning a career which would see him create numerous iconic sitcoms,...

Come 12th July, Super 30 Will be hitting the screens. It isn’t just the first major release of the second half of 2019, it is also the biggest film to hit the screens in the month of July. Naturally, some good plans have been laid down for the arrival of the Hrithik Roshan starrer that has been produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.
“The film may tell the story of an ordinary man but considering the kind of names involved and of course the topicality of the theme, it isn’t seeing a niche release for itself. Instead, it would be seeing a full blown commercial arrival in theaters,” says an insider.
Super 30 also benefits from the fact that it is practically the biggest film to release after Kabir Singh, which is currently creating havoc at the Box Office.

According to a source in the know, Randeep will be a part of Nair's eight-episode adaptation of Vikram Seth's "A Suitable Boy".
"Yes, it's true I am working with Mira after almost 19 years and looking forward to it. It's a bit early to speak more about the series or my role," Randeep told Ians.

Dukhtar which in Urdu means daughter is a film from Pakistan and premiered at Toronto . It was screened in several other film festivals and went on to win many accolades for the subject it handles.
A ten-year-old girl becomes part of a truce between two feuding tribes when her father decides to give her hand in marriage to the head of the other tribe. Her mother is obviously vexed and decides to take the girl and run. And as forgiving is a trait that does not get along well with honour, the runaways have an arduous road ahead. A truck driver with problems of his own takes them with him. The movie is about their struggle to stay alive against many odds.
Second half of the movie and how it ends do not justify the intensity with which it all starts. Some of it has to do with the half-baked performances.

The first Brit List: TV saw more than 100 nominations put forward by 70 British TV companies, with 20 making the final list by gaining two nominations or more from different participants.
