It was a great season overall, and even though Melissa was by far the best competitor, I'm not mad at the outcome; I think Lina is a great queen and she had a satisfying storyline to the crown and I also thought Silvina could have been the winner. However. What I do find quite infuriating is when drag race builds momentum for no particular reason. Melissa had a winner edit. She was very heavily featured on the season, had the best runways, felt like one of the main characters and even her entrance was portrayed as a dramatic moment. If drag race italia knew that they weren't going to crown her because she was related to season 2 winner La Diamond, why did they give her such an enjoyable edit? Again, not that Lina didn't deserve it, but when you set the tone for something that doesn't end up happening, the whole season feels a bit pointless and loses a lot of potential for rewatching.
