Young Cecilia arrives in Rome to celebrate the Bar Mitzvah of her friend David, the Jewish ceremony that traditionally marks the transition to adulthood. The two teenagers discover in the house a mysterious gold ring - with unknown initials G.M. - hidden inside a clock. Eager to learn more, the young people investigate until they discover the story of the ring's owner, Giacomo Moscati, and his friendship with Samuele Pontecorvo, the owner of an identical object. Like in a real investigation and also thanks to the visit of some of the most iconic places in the Roman ghetto, including the Jewish Museum, the Historical Archive of the Community, and the Spanish Temple, Cecilia and David connect the two rings to the tragic gold blackmail of 1943, finally uncovering Moscati's story. Based on real events.
