It's 4PM. Chuck is preparing an intimate, date-worthy dinner for his wife Sylvie, who has not yet come home from her job at a development firm, and their infant daughter, Lydia, the special dinner as Chuck wants to have a serious "we need to talk" conversation with her. As the next few hours progress, the intimate dinner starts to expand in numbers, growing unexpectedly at every turn, and some not in ways Chuck would have chosen even if it wasn't for the want to have that serious conversation with Sylvie. In the march toward dinner, Chuck's inner thoughts are displayed at key moments. By the end, the redemptive power of gathering for food is shown.
