This is sooo slow...glad I recorded it
iumudslinger20 March 2024
Okay we know there's tons of boats all over the ocean...still searching for the 5, 7, 11 (pick a number) of "Modified UBoats containing blah blah blah...yawn...more of this???!??? This is the best content you got besides digging on Oak Island...Geez.. You can watch an entire episode in about 7-10 mins MAX!! The story is so slow going. There just isn't enough of a reveal to slog through watching them worried about ocean tides and adding drama that NOBODY cares about. Show us more in each episode or just make it an 2-night 2 hour History Channel Special. History Channel AGAIN has a potential story but they make each episode just not worth the time. I'd rather just read about the discoveries online than watch anymore of this...

Don't do what they do!
skyking-1411 April 2024
This is a mildly interesting story, and I can see the plausibility of their theories, however, there is a very real flaw in their approach that makes it less credible in my eyes. Repeatedly, they are finding and casually handling, what they believe to be munitions from WWII. In reality, this would be an incredibly DANGEROUS thing for them to do!

Any such unexploded ordinance, submerged for 70-plus years, would be highly unstable and unpredictable. It might be totally inert and safe to handle... it might explode in your hand with the slightest jar! You simply can't know, which is one of many reasons why diving the wreck sites of military ships is often controlled or discouraged.

That they repeatedly do so, without any comment on the potential hazard, leads me to wonder if they are simply uninformed, reckless, or well aware that what they are handling is not real?

Typical History Channel junk.
klute-820668 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Almost worse than Oak Island. They draw conclusions that everything is fact and it must be German uboats that dropped a gun, bottle and broken plates that look like the just placed in some rubble. I honestly hope they actually find a U-boat but I doubt they just try and sell another season. Just enough to jump to conclusions that are sketchy at best. Secret Nazi this, Secret Nazi that..."must be germans" is just like ancient aliens as "must be the aliens" when they draw the inevitable conclusions.

Reminds me of the logic used in Monty Python and the Holy Grail to determine witches.

It's sad what the History Channel puts out these days.

WASTE OF TIME
marylizcolson20 March 2024
As usual these real time expeditions is a waste of time. So far nothing of any consequence has been found and the dialog assumptions are strictly played for the camera. As typical of the History Channel as with The Curse of Oak Island NOTHING IS EVER FOUND. History Channel!!!! Why do you continue to offer there boring and unfruitful shows? Are they cheap to produce?

I never did watch the Curse of Oak Island because I knew what to expect but I really did hope the Lost U Boats would restore my faith in the History Channel. MOVE ON!!!! Offer shows that have some sense of satisfaction as in a learning experience. Now that would be worth watching.

Total garbage.
graemeneiltate14 March 2024
Does anyone actually believe this rubbish, totally scripted and fake. Just another version of the usual twaddle history channel pumps out but tbis time under the water, watch this space and mark my words they will find just enough planted artifacts to justify future seasons, whoever directed this series seriously needs sacked. Oh we found a plate with a swastika on it, oh we just happen to find a knife handle with a swastika on it amongst 1000 nails, and oh we found a towing eye that some expert says was used to tow a trailer possibly carrying loot, lol come on pull the other one its got bells on it.

Move along, nothing to see here!
lucluv20 March 2024
I guess Darrell Miklos got tired of looking for "Cooper's Treasure," his previous show on the History Channel. He's moved on from lost Spanish treasure galleons seen from outer space, to "lost" Nazi U-boats, supposedly refitted to haul stolen European wealth to South America.

Seeing that his previous series was pretty much a bust, it makes one wonder what possessed the execs at History Channel to fund another of his pipe dreams?

A lot of this is the same sort of stuff you saw in "Cooper's Treasure." Guys riding around in a boat dragging a magnetometer. Guys scuba diving, sweeping the sea floor with handheld metal detectors. Guys not being able to do anything due to weather conditions.

Nothing new. Nothing interesting. Nothing to see here, that you haven't seen before.

as a WWII historian..
finkbuzzo19 March 2024
The submarine tales that Miklos' tells, are somewhat plausible? But the direct evidence, that you can hold in your hand? Seems too obvious it was planted? Also the fact, some objects that were found, even they... could have been thrown overboard at any time in history, from a passing ship well after 1945 by anyone. The oceans/seas are full of garbage! Ugh! I give this TV series a click bait rating of 2 stars...only for the title which is catchy "LOST U BOATS OF WWll"...a mere "dud" like some of the torpedoes that failed to go off during that era..it is sad that the history channel is regurgitating past history with a "feely" script.... I feeeeel that this happened in history. BAH-HUMBUG....no body wants to work hard anymore, they just want the quick $$$

A 5 episode season show with no purpose or finds
slimvine3 April 2024
History Channel continues to produce show with no purpose and spends money and time to see nothing productive at all except to waste time.

Very sad. At least the Hitler search some premise in discovering nothing other than looking at wild rumors. But these types of shows makes the lead characters look stupid and dumb going nowhere. Although I guess they are being funded to "investigate" the world and getting paid for travel under the premise that they are trying find answers for essentially some things that never happened. They must be there to try to appeal conspiracy theories and those who are looking to follow something.

Lost dive skills of the History Channel
dgpensacola3 April 2024
This has to be the dumbest show on TV. These guys are totally not credible. As divers, they are terrible and have no respect for the environment. The so called experts on the show have very little credibility. It's a shame, because I love WW2 history and I'm a dive instructor. I don't think I've yelled at the TV this much ever. I keep hoping it will turn around, but alas, it doesn't appear that it will. I also metal detect and laughed at the archeologist who obviously had no clue how to operate one. I also watch the diver's on the Bermuda Triangle show. Those guys are legit and know how to dive and research what they find. Maybe The idiots on this show could take some lessons from them! Lol.
