Wow. Just wow.

Warning: Spoilers
One of the most entertaining and unpredictable finales ever. The looks from each queen were next level, and the queens were such a joy to watch. Their love for each other is lovely. The solo performances were killer as well.

Sasha Colby performing to HER by Megan Thee Stallion was so entertaining to watch.

Some people hate this format, but I don't. I think the energy was a little lacking, but they can very easily bring DR alumni in the future or some influencers to fix that.

Two Miss Congeniality made a lot of sense for this season.

The top 2 lip sync might be my favorite lip sync for the win.

Nymphia and Sapphira were both stellar, but Miss Banana Buddha was on another level!

What a marvelous end to an even more marvelous season!

Stay Mad

Warning: Spoilers
Damn, noodlestoon is REAL upset, somebody get her the crisis hotline.

If you didn't know Nymphia was going to get crowned the second we met the queens, I really don't know what to tell you. The show is a poplularity contest. Stop pretending like you don't know how things work.

Furthermore, for a finale episode, this sits slightly above the others. I do not think a live/theater finale is necessary, especially if edited correctly (this was not), so I'll keep quiet on this topic given that most finales are a chore to get through.

Anyways, shout out to my flat-footed queen. The AllStars crown is ripe for your head (no pun intended)

Level-Headed Review
orionmeadow20 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
A fine finale, after a fantastic season. The most common.issue with the response to this episode is that people are so overwhelmed with happiness for the winner that it's making their reviews overrated and bias. Especially with the final lip sync. While Nymphia's tricks were impressive, her reveal was not "Sasha Velour level", and some of her performance was frantic. Even so, she worked the stage and earned the evaluation that she won the lip sync. Nymphia winning is a cultural milestone for the series, and means a lot to so many people. These things likely factored into the producer's choice to crown her, because the edit throughout the season was not indicative of this ending. As usual, the least satisfying aspect of the show is not the queens, but production. Had they given some of the edit Sapphira or Plane had, to Nymphia, this wouldn't have felt so disjointed. Fans who think Sapphira was "robbed" actually have a valid perspective, from an editing standpoint. There is such a thing as a queen doing too well for reality TV, and Sapphira was perfect for the crown. There are plenty of ways production could have better foreshadowed Nymphia's win, no matter who else was competing with her. (This is mostly an issue with the editing, They are both phenomenally talented queens deserving of a crown.) Overall, this season gets a 9/10, almost perfect. This final episode though, a 7, 8 at the most. Thank you to all the queens this season who gave us quality talent, every time we tuned in on our screens.

First season to crown the wrong queen
saturnfoxes28 April 2024
This season was a real disappointment outside of the lip sync lalaparuza episode and perhaps a couple others. This finale was the icing on the turd cake. The producers clearly wanted Nymphia to win from the start and it was very evident throughout the season that they'd crown her regardless of the other queens' performances throughout the season, which made this episode extra disappointing. It wasn't coincidental there was an excess of design challenges given that it's the only skill Nymphia is stellar at, nor was it a coincidence that there weren't any improv challenges outside of Snatch Game or comedy challenges like a roast because Nymphia would've probably flopped the hardest like she did in Snatch Game. Nymphia was saved from lip syncing in Snatch Game despite having perhaps the worst performance in Snatch Game history outside of maybe The Vixen's Blue Ivy from season 10. Sapphira is particularly a clearly stronger performer, especially when it comes to comedy, acting, teamwork, hosting, and improv. The only area Nymphia is significantly better in is her sewing abilities and her higher budget for runway looks. Performances during the finale were lackluster, especially compared to GODDESS from last year. Sapphira's was the best and most end tertiary number by far, but her outfit wasn't the best. The lip sync for the crown was okay, though both Sapphira and Nymphia seemed frantic. The seemingly coolest moment from Nymphia was when she copied Brooklyn Height's Bootylicious lip sync from the season 11 finale by doing a handstand on the wall and then dropping into the splits. Would've been more impressive if Brooklyn hadn't already done it, and Brooklyn did it much better. Nymphia's outfit and reveals were somewhat interesting but didn't fit the song at all and felt out of place. Lackluster lip sync for the crown overall, especially following up season 15's lip sync for the crown in which Sasha Colby gave SUCH a strong performance and rightfully won. Not surprised by the result from this finale though as, again, it was evident throughout the season that Nymphia was the production's favorite and choice to win from the beginning, so it felt extremely anticlimactic and forced, especially given that Sapphira demonstrated that she was the stronger and more consistent competitor throughout the competition.

One of the most meh finales in history
peterkowalski20 April 2024
Another season is behind us - it was a good one, albeit predictable (with a predictable - although fully deserved - winner). And the finale? Did it feel unpolished, rushed, manufactured, and overall meh to anyone? Those watching the show from the beginning will remember better. Even the covid open-air cinema parking one was more exciting than the new stage (slightly bigger than the previous one, and far less exciting than the theatre... bring. Back. Theatres. For. The. Grand. Finales). The production was, meh, alright. The vibe was, meh, alright. The final lipsync was... OK? I guess? What happened to the interviews with all the contestants? Where's the fun gone?

Add those together and you get a finale you watch while washing the dishes, because nothing is enticing enough to get both eyes on. You can do better, Ru. Stop relying on your legacy.

Bad ending to a bad season
noodlestoon20 April 2024
This entire season has been horrible in terms of production choices, particularly those that favored Mhi'ya and Nymphia (Mhi'ya being saved from the bottom 2 during the SNL challenge and being saved over a frontrunner later, Nymphia being saved from the bottom 2 during Snatch Game and the Bathroom Hunties episode) not to mention the plethora of design challenges which helped build Nymphia's case to win RuPaul's Seamstress Race. Sapphira wss the frontrunner, as she was clearly a much more well-rounded performer who excelled in comedy, acting, and teamwork challenges that Nymphia struggled horribly in. Nymphia did not impress enough in this finale to deserve the crown. It is clear the show made the decision to crown her because she was a "fan favorite" after attracting a larger crowd of new and very young watchers and viewers from outside the USA. Evidence of this is clear in some of the lip sync song choices throughout the season as well. Very disappointing to see the direction this show is taking to crown the person who will gain them the most audience rather than the queen who deserves it the most. Won't be watching the show anymore after this extremely disappointing season.
