- La Yumba is an exclusive clandestine milonga (tango dance hall) frequented by wealthy men and beautiful girls. They pay to dance and they dance tango for money. Everyone wants to dance with La Colo, but it is not easy to get her.
- A mysterious and elegant woman writes the name "Berugo Lombardo" on an envelope, which she then leaves in the letterbox of a humble house in a working-class neighborhood of the city. The man who opens the envelope, a mechanic who arrives home from work, finds several 500-euro notes inside. In the dressing room of a clandestine milonga (tango dance hall), several dancers are preparing for work. They are looking forward to dancing a lot that night, but one of them is worried and says: "If she comes, we won't dance at all today". At the milonga, several men are waiting for the arrival of Fatima Lamour, alias La Colo. An attractive girl of French origin with whom they all want to dance. One of them is Fernando, the respected and feared boss of a mafia family. Another is Mario, a corrupt politician with a certain amount of power in the city. To get La Colo, they will have to play cards: whoever wins, gets to dance with her first. Meanwhile, Berugo, the mechanic who found the envelope with the money in his mailbox, has shaved and dressed to go to the milonga. He arrives and says the password to get in. He has the money to pay the entrance fee, which astonishes the ticket agent. La Colo, who was serious and bored dancing with Fernando, is very happy to see him arrive.
