At the end of the movie, as Mr. Rogers is filming the outro of the episode, he takes off his shoes, puts on his sport jacket, and buttons the top button of his sport coat as he approaches the door. Immediately afterward, the director yells cut, and Mr. Rogers walks behind the camera to watch the filmed scene on a TV screen. In the playback of the scene he just filmed, he doesn't even touch the button on his sport coat as he walks toward the door.
In the restaurant scene between Hanks and Rhys, the cars and trucks seen outside the window keep changing and/or disappearing between wideshots and close-ups.

As is usual for a biodrama, certain events are changed for dramatic purposes. The beginning of the film states this takes place in 1998, however, several of the Mister Rogers episodes depicted being recorded were actually filmed earlier. The episode where Rogers attempted to put up a tent was filmed in 1975, and his visit to the Uptown String Quartet was filmed and aired in 1997, and the Neighborhood of Make-Believe story involving the skunk was filmed and aired in 1987.
It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood: The camera used by Tom Hanks in the film is not a Retina IIIc model that Mr. Rogers used. The camera used in the film is a "point and shoot" camera.
In the last scene Mr Rogers takes off his tennis shoes and does not put on his street shoes.
The credits show a song by Mr. Rogers as "You've Got To Do It". The actual song title was "You Did It".
When outside the hospital room, the signs point to "Pediactrics ICU" despite this being a common misspelling of the word pediatric.
When Mr. Rogers and Lloyd are riding the New York City subway, the doors have "DO NOT LEAN ON DOOR" signs below the window which were not moved from the top until early 2000's. Before then, there was no signage underneath the windows of the doors.
