Interesting movie concerning a very important topic

The director of "Macht Engerie" documents several examples of how our civilizations energy use impacts the environment and ultimately ourselves.

He shows us several examples such as tar sands in Canada, the consequences of Fracking, atomic energy in France, large hydro power projects and also some positive examples like the use of renewable energy in Murau / Styria and how small scale photovoltaic have a big impact in Burkina Faso.

I recommend this movie!

Well made, fun and very educational!

Excellent documentary

An excellent documentary film from Austria by the production company Allegro Film who made already many other interesting documentaries like "Let's make money" or "More than honey". To loosen up the whole visual style of the film director Hubert Canaval made the decision to use many stylized animation sequences to tell the sometimes very complicated topics in a simple and fresh new way. This is a film i can highly recommend! Especially for people who are interested in serious and a more critical style of documentary film making that you won't see on television. The film fits in a row of highly acclaimed and controversial feature documenatries from Austria like "We feed the world", "Darins Nightmare" or "Our daily bread" such as many others.
