Leslie Ann Down stars in Sphinx as an archeologist who discovers that King Tut's tomb was actually just a blind alley, a distraction from even greater and more unbelievable secrets. She stumbles over corpses, she gets attacked by bats, she gets locked in with mummies and she falls in love with Frank Langella more or less in that order. You know you're in trouble in a mummy movie when the archaeologist's flashlight keeps going out.
