Although the acting leaves a lot to be desired and the script isn't exactly the best, this film is quite a thought provoking one. With an interesting plot and some (rather predictable) twists and turns as the narrative progresses, it's not the worst film I've seen by a mile. The characters are a bit weak and not very well rounded or well thought out but if you can look past these few issues and just accept that it's not a big budget, Hollywood blockbuster, the film does have its good moments and is quite entertaining. I found this a rather mediocre offering at best, and feel that the original concept was a good one that sadly wasn't portrayed to its full potential.

Vodka doesn't go bad

Warning: Spoilers
The film opens with blood and gore as a man is chopping up a woman to fit her in a garbage bag. It isn't hard to figure this scene out.
Faye (Cassie Scerbo- SHARKNADO 1 and 3 hottie) has a deep fear of the outdoors and must live in the huge house she inherited. Her husband (Adam Brudnicki) is an attorney who can't always come home at night. Dr. Murphy (Tony Todd ) keeps Faye heavily sedated as she has hallucinations in addition to her fear. Elizabeth (Julie Kendall) who was dad's girlfriend, believes she is entitled to the house.
This ghost story feels more like a soap opera than a horror film. There are few characters and the acting is under whelming with dialogue that doesn't excite.
Guide: No swearing that I recall. No sex or nudity.

Predicable and slow going...
Gazzaman22 October 2020
Predictable, slow going with a feeling like an amateur production where the cast feels unsure of their lines as very rigid and not sure of the direction. Struggling to find any positives other than the end, but if you have absolutely nothing else to do and have 1hr 25mins to waste go for it. Also not sure why rated as 🔞 because not even a 13.
Agoraphobia: Decent enough despite its flaws
Platypuschow1 January 2018
Another movie by Lou Simon who at present time does not have the best record with me, her movies have been less than impressive.
Agoraphobia tells the story of a young woman suffering from *Drumroll* agoraphobia who moves into her newly inherited home but begins to question whether she's alone.
Starring Cassandra Scerbo who I will always just see as that girl from the Sharknado films who shows her cleavage a lot. Also we have the horror legend that is Tony Todd, though his presence is sadly minimal.
The majority of the film is highly generic and very uninteresting. It's not until the end when the film delivers a twist and steps up its game, but by that point it's a tad too late.
The finale saved Agoraphobia from sheer mediocrity and though it's still nothing special it's a harmless enough 84 minutes for fans of the genre.
The Good:
Tony Todd
Maria Olsen for the first time ever
Nice twist
The Bad:
Tony Todd felt wasted
Highly cliched for the most part
Things I Learnt From This Movie:
Can we have a horror movie where the family doesn't have pets please? We all know how that works out

A 90's movie with Sigourney Weaver with the same condition and also a thriller and that was a fairly good movie.
This is sad in comparison and has some annoying acting and a cast that don't feel comfortable with their roles.
The story goes all over the place and it's like they could not decide with which genre to go.
So it dumps some bad effects on you calling it a supernatural flick than it turns into a thriller when you find out her husband is cheating on her and wants to kill her.
The mixing of genres is not that easy and this is another example of a failed attempt.
It looked like they had some budget on this but somewhere with the script or the director and certainly the casting something went wrong.
Would be nice to see a project with the basic subject matter because done right it would still be something I would watch.
You can watch it if you want.
But...I don't recommend it.
A messy movie.

Tony Todd!
Patient4441 October 2016
This movie is a complete ripoff from one of the Outer Limits episodes. But the execution is quite alright, so it worked OK in the end.
After so many indie projects, here comes this one, with an old premise, some B class acting, B type actors and some mystery involved. The death scenes are laughable, the story doesn't always make lots of sense and the reaction from the characters are truly amusing. It is clear that the budget did not help this movie, except maybe to get Tony Todd involved.
It's just another horror like so many seen before, regarding the plot, the way it was made, shows that it couldn't pass its own boundaries.
Cheers!

Steer Clear

An agoraphobic woman inherits her father's house only to find it haunted. Everyone thinks she's seeing things and that her condition is getting worse but something is there trying to tell her something.
This thing sucked. Tony Todd played the doctor who had very little screen time and Maria Olsen had a brief appearance as well. What made this so awful was Cassandra Scerbo's performance. She wasn't convincing at all and you laugh when she tries to look upset. Even if she did a better job the script would still suck.
There is a cheesy little twist but by that point you don't even care about the movie anymore.

Warning: Spoilers
This movie is more funny then scary it's a horror movie because it's a horror it is considered under the Genre of Horror more bad low quality film with bad acting & a waste of time to watch. Definitely do not pay for or buy. Save your money on of the several good movies & horror movies that the storyline revolves around Agoraphobia. One of the good ones that comes to mind is The Women In The Window. Starting Amy Adams as the lead suffering from debilitating Agoraphobia, petrified to leave her Apartment front door. There are many other's that are amazing on this topic but this gives no real insight into what Agoraphobia is or what it would be like to have it. It's unintentionally funny & only good actor was the Star of The Candyman, the Man who played The actual Candyman in the 90's He does his best with an awful script & co-star's that cannot act act to save their life especially the philandering Husband of the Woman suffering from Agoraphobia & really bad acting from the Woman who is suffering from Agoraphobia the star of the Movie's best Friend & unknown to The pretty Blonde suffering from Agoraphobia her Husband is cheating with her best friend & both are the worst actor's it's laughable the way the scheme to take her house & money after they try to convince everyone she us getting worse with lies they tell to scheme badly & fail at sending her into a mental institution. It's also gross of the movie because it doesn't take the lead actress's Agoraphobia seriously & nearly mocks the disorder when it's a somewhat well known type of social anxiety. That was brought into the public eye in the 80's & 90's after Rhe amazing & beautiful Actress Kim Basinger came out publicly telling her story to the public. How when she was famous she went to a local store had a horrendous panic attack at the store & she slowly drove home taking back roads to get from the store to her house & her agoraphobia was so bad she didn't leave her house from that day on until a whole year had past. She got treatment for it after that & hasn't had any problems since.
It was a fun watch

Strange happenings in da house

A nervous woman inherits a big spooky house only to realize shes not alone... This is one of those movies that is sold on the strength of a name actor in the cast (candymans tony todd). But then it goes and does what a lot of movies of this type does: it rips off the audience. You think youre getting a genre name actor and of course it turns outs the actor is not even in the movie that much. I understand they have to sell the movie but so many movies of this type does this so often its not even amusing anymore. There are a few bits of good suspense to be had in this one along with a few twists so its not a total waste. Theres a lot worse out there in the streaming rabbit hole.
