The final part of a 3 part story.

Palpatine's plot to take control of the banks comes to a conclusion and we see the devious efforts to gain financial control over the Republic. This is a little bit of background addition and is quite nicely done.

The other element of the plot is Anakin jealousy and possessiveness towards Padme which adds to his story well.

My rating: 7.5/10.

The best of the three

Clovis may not have been one of the strongest characters in this show, but I did genuinely feel bad for him, and seeing him go the way he did was a bit hard and too brief in my opinion.

Seeing Palpatine gain more power, this time through the banking clan, was really cool. This was always sort of hinted at in Darth Plagueis by James Luceno, but to see Muuns and These politics on screen was refreshing.

Seriously though, if you want a good political thriller set in the Star Wars universe, read Darth Plagueis. It's very good.

Overall, not a very exciting arc, but a necessary and mostly interesting one for sure. It's certainly better than the other Padmé starring episodes.

Abbysmally bad story

The three episodes, concluding with this one are just senseless and illogical, with master plot hole on the side of Clovis motivation and actions.

WHY would he obey Dooku? There is exactly 0 reason to accept him.

Hey, "we won't pay our debt" THEY WEREN'T PAYING IT IN THE FIRST PLACE And using information that he got from Dooku is a perfect example of what a neutral party should do in that war.

Just bad.
