- Although there is no nudity shown, there is sexually explicit talk throughout the film, by and in the presence of children. Grade school boys tease little girls about their breasts or lack of, a little girl makes her doll rape another doll while playing pretend with another girl, and children watch their mother be sexually promiscuous with many different lovers. Two adolescent girls mimic sexual intercourse with coupling,gyrating, and moaning sounds to tease their younger sister about a crush. A girl in grade school asks her mother to breastfeed her,sucking is heard and seen, but the breast is not.

A woman slaps her young daughter in the face causing a split lip and in another scene is heard but not seen repeatedly striking and screaming at her daughter. Sisters fight physically several times. A father gives his daughter an unknown medicine to make her sleep. A little girl is temporary homeless and spends the night hanging out with vagrants who give her alcohol to drink and let her smoke a marijuana cigarette.

Frightening & Intense Scenes
- A little girl is often wandering the streets by herself at all hours with her bag and cat after being kicked out of her parents' homes. One evening she finds herself completely abandoned after her father throws her out and her mother will not take her back, and sits in a park crying while cuddling her cat, before finding her way to a group of vagrants who take her in for the night. They party and give her alcohol and drugs, but do not abuse or take advantage of her. Later she sleeps alone on the ground in a park with her cat. She throws herself off a balcony in a suicide attempt and is shown sprawled unconscious on the ground and bloodied in a hospital bed.
