'The Age of Darkness' makes terrific use of both Erica and Barry. The former a sullen rage beast after being dumped (hell hath no fury), the latter batting a wicked Punch-Out! addiction. There's even an intervention, things get so bad. But it's family that ultimately fixes both crises, and it's in classic "Goldbergs" fashion; funny, heartfelt and satisfying.
