The film budget was originally only 15 000 NOK, but due to incredible support by many companies and funds, including the city mayor, the budget ended up being almost at 100 000 NOK.
The longest scene took over 11 hours to shoot, all in one day.
First day of shooting, Daniel Bratteli was surprised of how professional everything was set up. To this, director Tor Einar Gudmestad just laughed and thought he was being sarcastic.
The driving scene in the beginning of the film, when Morten picks Leon up from the ferry, took a total of four days to shoot. The first day it was raining so bad, that even the equipment in the cameravan was soaked. Day two had perfect weather conditions, but due to the lack of extra TV monitors in the van (making it possible to see the shoot on big screen in real time), all of the shots shot that day were out of focus. The third and fourth day was the successful ones, making the scene to be shot over a total of almost five weeks, four and a half over the schedule.
The shooting of the gas station-scene took over 8 hours to complete. This lead to the police showing up because people thought "something weird was going on by the gas station".
