Francois Clousot did a fine job photographing adult films for Wicked and other companies, but his more recent directorial efforts are poor. This one is lousy from start to finish despite okay casting.
It has the familiar plot line of folks in danger, both sexual and of the murderous type, when stuck in the middle of nowhere, preyed upon by the locals including people in authority. I've seen this a thousand times, best in "Twilight Zone" type episodes and most recently in the form of Matt Dillon's predicament in the series "Wayward Pines". You know the drill - you leave the highway and stop off in a little town, and then spend the rest of the story trying to escape.
First sex vignette is filler, as hot Nikki Six humps that rare bird, Oriental porn stud out of London, Keni Styles. There's no story yet and as in a crappy horror film they get killed.
Next Michael Vegas relaxes in the sack on vacation with his gal Stevie Shae, but they and other guests at a local fleabag motel are at the deadly mercy of creepy locals like Tommy Gunn.
The cast enjoys playing various low-life characters but nothing interesting happens and unlike in a real suspense film the fates of the protagonists generate little empathy. By the final reel it's difficult to sort out the filler from the useful content - the entire series of seven sex scenes has been a total waste of time.
