Mainly average but the sudden twists will make you smile
artapme-840-33360222 November 2015
No spoilers!

This is a fairly basic Hollywood story of how things take a turn south really fast in peoples lives and keep getting worse by the minute. I've always liked "gangster" movies like this, kinda simple but yet funny characters and unexpected twists you really cannot predict. It's the small things that can make an average movie turn in to a good one and this did that for me. About half of it is just plain average but then things start to happen so don't stop watching.

The writing and characters have clear influences from Tarantinos Pulp Fiction, Guy Ritchie's Snatch(and others) and the ending is quite "Usual Suspect's" type but so what if we've seen it before, it still works. For it's budget I'm happy with what I saw.

Too much of movies these days throw money away in effects and other useless crap, they still haven't learned that a billion dollars worth of effects won't make a bad script good. Save that money Hollywood and make a hundred of these types instead. Put the money towards good writers and casting and that will save you a lot.. and make a better movies at the same time.

Four debts and a funeral
quincytheodore24 November 2015
For all the gritty title and noir poster it has, the better part of Criminal Activity is its satirical attempt on crime genre. The thriller works by introducing subplots while playing out the main story with a lot of twists and turns. While not every narrative pays out, there's a solid acting here and it's pretty exciting to see the diverse characters as they are put in highly volatile situations.

Four young men reunite on the funeral of their friend. After a smoke they are intrigued by an investment opportunity that fails almost immediately. Unfortunately to them the investment is already tied to a mafia and they must do a difficult favor to clean the slate. Their hardship eventually turns into a spiral of dangerous power struggle with kidnapped niece and nephew while agents and assassins chase after them.

It's a deeper premise than it originally shows, creating layers of subplots as it progresses. Some of the sequences are highly entertaining due to their absurdity and good delivery by the actors. Edi Gathegi as the gangster involved in all the shenanigans stands out even among the capable leads of John Travolta and Dan Stevens. There are unexpected outlandish mafia themed narratives, or perhaps slight parody of it, that will deliver chuckle or thrill to audience.

However, even with most of the story manage to be entertaining, the movie tends to overreach. It has plenty of side characters or events that may not be that important yet still get a lot of screen time. It tries to pull off too many tricks that don't resonate better than its core story. Not to mention the twisting revelation at the end feels rather abrupt and might too far fetch, although it's still decent due to the outlandish nature.

Criminal Activity works on parts where the acting and satire are strong, but it does try to overreach with few others distracting stints like a greedy mobster.

A bit meh
thegiant-9506120 November 2015
Warning: Spoilers
If John Travolta wasn't in the movie, you'd probably have skipped past this one already. And even then, with each scene that he is in, you spend more time looking at his glued on hair piece than following the movie.

Essentially the plot is 4 guys get mixed up with the mob and incur a large debt. To wipe the debt clean, they're forced to kidnap some guy for the mob boss (Travolta).

At the end of the movie, there's a 'The Usual Suspects'/ 'Now You See Me' style twist, and that is all explained thoroughly at the end.

Whilst I think the twist is convoluted enough to make it not predictable (the last 10 minutes of the movie is needed to explain the twist), at the same time it is not all that surprising or satisfying when revealed. Leaving you with a feeling of MEH at the end. It's been done many times before, with better set-ups and better actors.

Nothing special here. Very average.

Twist at end was great
andrewmcl83-170-7644168 August 2016
Im not going to say much other than it reminded me of suicide kinds with a much better twist. Iveseen a lot of reviews where people are complaining about the twist at the end. I found it totally unpredictable and actually gave you an answer to the whole movie unlike so many movies today where it ends with someone just walking away and you are left saying "that's it"? I gave it a 7 only because 7.7 isn't an option. I would watch it a second time and i do suggest this movie as a good movie that will not leave you feeling you've wasted your time. Also, i had no problems with any of the acting, overall i would give the actors a 7 as well.

A better movie than the ratings imply
polmuir5 March 2016
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is considerably better than the low ratings would have you believe.

The plot is strong, with a few good twists along away the way. If there is one criticism, and I'm guessing this is where the low ratings come in its that the production quality could have been better.

While the acting is good, some of the scenes feel a little too stifled and not tight enough. I think the director missed a trick not upping the pace. This isn't an action movie, although it would have played better with a more fluid rhythm. The relationship between the characters could have been developed more during the plot which would only have added to the brilliant plot twist at the end.

My advice to anyone considering watching this, ignore the ratings and watch it. Its OK, but could have been so much better. .

The Definition of Average
chicagopoetry20 November 2015
Warning: Spoilers
You know that scene in Pulp Fiction where John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson confront the Big Kahuna Burger guys? Well, imagine an entire film trying to recreate that wittiness without much success and you have Criminal Activities. This isn't a really bad film. If you don't have anything else to do and you've seen everything else you're not exactly wasting your time on it. But it certainly isn't a good film either. The big surprise Usual Suspects twist ending is so convoluted that I really didn't understand where the money came from even if it was satisfying to learn that the victim of bullying was really the one in power all along. This is really one of those just okay movies that won't make any waves when it splashes into the Red Box.

Not quite Tarantino, but an interesting film
ginocox-206-33696812 February 2016
Warning: Spoilers
"Criminal Activities" represents the directorial debut of Jackie Earle Healey, who also plays a featured role as Gerry, a dispassionate and hard-as-nails enforcer for mobster Eddie (John Travolta).

My initial reaction is to suggest the bar should lowered a bit and audiences and reviewers should treat the film charitably because it is a directorial debut produced on a modest budget. But one of my all-time favorite films, "Lone Star," was produced with considerably less money, even adjusting for inflation, and films like "Citizen Kane," "Blood Simple," "Throw Momma From The Train" and "Reservoir Dogs" were also directorial debuts. But perhaps those were exceptions to the rule.

The film has several very strong elements. Haley and Gathegi steal their scenes with strong performances and clever dialogue. The plot has some satisfying twists and reversals and a huge reveal at the end that casts everything we've seen in an entirely different perspective.

The reveal is on the same order of magnitude as "The Usual Suspects" and "The Sixth Sense"; however, it is not nearly as satisfying or as gratifying. The film fails to foreshadow or leave sufficient ambiguities, so the reversal comes off as a complete surprise and not an alternate interpretation that the audience can easily assimilate.

One gets the impression that Haley's performance is exactly what he expects from his actors. Gerry is simple, direct, unquestioningly loyal, but clever enough to understand the bigger picture and to take his own initiative when changing circumstances demand it. The four protagonists lack such qualities and their predicament quickly spirals out of control as a consequence. The movie's greatest failing is that it never develops any real sympathy for the four protagonists, who come across as inept doofuses.

Technically, the film kind of gets the job done without much panache. The constant motion from the jiggly-cam shots could leave viewers reaching for the Dramamine. Many of the shots are dark, not low-key, but dark. Effects of gunfire are uneven. In one shot, a character seems to slap a blood capsule against his chest, but it doesn't seem to rupture or the effect is lost in the dimly lit room. Other scenes seem to have employed the same special effects supervisor who worked on some of the Monty Python films. Two scenes of a character flipping through B&W photographs seem reminiscent of the opening scene in "Chinatown." Who prints photographs anymore? The less said about Travolta's makeup, the better.

The film clearly draws inspiration from Quentin Tarantino and Elmore Leonard. While it fails to match their accomplishments, it does a reasonable job in its emulation. I'll watch it again to look for clues to the big reveal. It might have been much more interesting with a few deftly planted clues that perhaps all is not as it seems.

Four simpletons and a funeral...
stuart_davies28 November 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I watched this because of the John Travolta and Jackie Earle Haley connection as I've enjoyed much of their previous work. The acting was OK and the story, although not original seemed to start off well and I was looking forward to a romp along the lines of "A Family Business". Previously law abiding citizens with intelligence enough to hold down white collar jobs, then forced to commit a kidnapping would employ planning involving how to subdue then restrain a target though the use of a taser and heavy duty tie- wraps. However, they blunder in with rope and high hopes. Then in the aftermath, the four then show their faces to the kidnapped man and use their own names names and engage in long conversation with him, so he knows exactly who they are and who to kill as in revenge. In the real world, the kidnapped man would be blindfolded, gagged and as the duration of the kidnapping was only 24 hours, no food or water would be needed, so would be kept bound and thrown him in a cellar somewhere. After 30 minutes the movie seemed to be heading down the road of comedic unraveling of the kidnap plan through the stupidity of the whole group so I stopped watching in frustration...

It is hard to buy Travolta as a mob boss, but this is a decent one time watch movie although nothing all that amazing
cosmo_tiger22 January 2016
"Sometimes what looks like a dead end to a dire situation can be an opportunity." After meeting at an old classmates funeral four friends begin to reconnect. When they hatch a plan to play the stock market for a sure thing that will make them all millionaires they jump at the chance. When things go wrong they not only lose their money but they find out that one of them borrowed money from the mob. Now, left with no other choice they must make a deal in order to survive. I love mob movies and was looking forward to this. This is not the type of mob movie I was hoping for. The movies is essentially a kidnapping and little by little more truth is uncovered. The movie isn't that bad and does keep you watching but it was a little slow and not really what I was expecting it to be. The acting is really good, even though it is hard to buy Travolta as a mob boss. This is a decent one time watch movie but nothing all that amazing and nothing I think I would watch again. Overall, good but nothing to scream about. I give this a B.

Rather Gimmicky
larrys32 May 2016
This film contains some dark humor and a surprise twist ending, but in my opinion it's barely a grade B-movie. We've seen many similar type movies over the years, so, to me, this one came across as rather a "poor cousin" in comparison to some of the others that are named by several reviewers on this site.

This is one of those films that if I revealed too much about the plot details I would be writing too many spoilers, so let's just say all is not what it seems on screen. However, when the reasons for what's occurring are revealed it just seemed quite flimsy to me.

This movie marks the directorial debut of acclaimed actor Jackie Earle Haley, who also is excellent in a supporting role here. Robert Lowell also makes his screen debut as the scriptwriter.

All in all, the film is not going to win any awards, but I was interested enough to want to know how it would all turn out, even though some of the journey was a bit painful. In the end, it all just seemed more of a gimmick than anything else.

It's actually pretty good
dodgerbrian20 November 2015
Just finished the movie, and I was captivated the whole time. I was surprised to see that the entire cast put together a very convincing performance. The script and plot were also clever, and somewhat original for a change (which was refreshing to see). It did seem a little Tarantino-esque with some of the music, dialog, and situation. But I guess if you're going to model your work after anyone, QT is probably the guy to go with.

Overall I enjoyed the movie, and I do recommend checking it out. It probably is not for everybody but if you are a fan of Guy Ritchie and Quentin Tarantino's work, I imagine you will probably enjoy this too. Jackie Earl Haley did a fine job in his directorial debut, and I look forward to seeing more of his work.

interesting plot twist
antoniotierno3 June 2016
All the guys proceed well but the actors, including the scene-stealing, acquit themselves quite amusingly, as does director Haley, who also plays one of Travolta's henchmen. Working from a chatty script not as cleverly hatched as it likes to think it is, Haley whips it into something decently entertaining even as you begin thinking about how truly great "Get Shorty" and Travolta's Chili Palmer were midway through those double-crossing criminal activities. Criminal Activities is overall a sneaky, snaky little crime thriller with some pretty impressive plot twists with some stylish touches and committed performances which enliven this otherwise not special crime thriller.

Look at it this way
Prismark105 April 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Four friends become four dumb criminals when a huge investment deal turns sour and realise that the money for the investment came from an underworld criminal boss who wants his money back.

Noah (Dan Stevens), Zach (Michael Pitt), Warren (Christopher Abbott) and Bryce (Rob Brown) are offered a get out deal by mobster Eddie (John Travolta) who wants them to kidnap a rival gangster Marques, because he has kidnapped Eddie's niece and he would later wipe the slate clean.

Gerry (Jackie Earle Haley) is a henchman for Eddie supposedly trying to locate Eddie's niece. The four of them kidnap the rival gangster and wait for further instructions. In the meantime Marques plays with their heads that causes tensions.

Jackie Earle Haley directed the film as well as appearing in it. Travolta has a glorified cameo with his awful hairpiece and his presence makes you hark back to those twisty Tarantino type thrillers. There is a 'The Usual Suspects' type denouement which lifts the film from being truly dreadful but it is too little and too late for what is a humdrum and wearisome film.

A little Pulp Fiction, a little Usual Suspects
blanche-25 December 2017
Directed by Jackie Earle Haley, "Criminal Activities" from 2015 is about four high school friends - Zack, Noah, Warren, and Bryce (Michael Pitt, Dan Stevens, Rob Brown, Christopher Abbott, who meet up after the funeral of their friend Matthew. Warren tells them about a stock that's about to go up - he has insider trading info - and the agent who has been stockpiling the stock is getting nervous about being caught and needs to dump his shares. He wants $200,000. Noah says he can get it.

The stock tanks and wipes out the investment. Unfortunately, Noah neglected to tell him the money came from a mobster, Eddie (John Travolta) and he wants repayment of $400,000 - accrued interest. He will wipe the slate clean if they will help him with a problem he's having - kidnap the brother of the man who kidnapped his niece so that he can get her back.

Boy could this have been better. It's a complicated story, and a good one, but the script and direction aren't strong enough to carry it. It's similar to many other films of today with its surprises, but at the end of the film I was left confused about certain money issues. There is an homage to Pulp Fiction with the presence of Travolta and the guys' initial meeting at the Royale. And it has gross violence, just like Tarantino. It's just not Tarantino.

The acting is uneven with some good performances. Travolta does a great job, but earth to Travolta: if you're bald, shave your head and/or wear an expensive hairpiece, and stop looking like a chimpanzee with that hairline. It's so distracting.

The director, Jackie Earle Haley, hands in a good performance, as do Pitt, Edi Gathegi, Pitt, and Stevens.

A lot of blather about nothing...and then I was surprised by the decent ending
Ed-Shullivan27 December 2016
Criminal Activities has a good cast for talent in the main roles with Michael Pitt, Dan Stevens, Christopher Abbott, Rob Brown, Edi Gathegi and John Travolta. The premise of the film is four old friends come up with a financial investment plan to make a small fortune but they need $200K in seed money which one of the four old friends arranges to get a loan for. When their financial investment plan quickly goes south their anonymous financial backer comes forward and demands his $200K back immediately plus another $200K in interest, or else their heads will be handed to them, literally. The loan arranger is connected to the mob underworld and he tells his four patsies that he will wipe the slate clean of the $400K loan if they agree to kidnap another hood and hold him for just 24 hours.

So the kidnapping plan is set in motion with the four amateurs and although it hits a few snags they eventually get the kidnapping completed and they keep the mob hostage tied up for their loan shark waiting to get the green light to let him go.

What follows is about 60 minutes of continuous blather by all cast members including a whole lot of four letter words that rhyme with the word "PUCK". Most sensible film goers would at some point get up and ask for a refund but since I purchased the Blu Ray I chose to bear with the directors master(less)piece and although I was becoming very irritated with the endless blather of totally useless dialogue by the six main characters which I assumed was necessary to fill an otherwise empty void to completing a 94 minute movie I hung in there and I was rewarded with a better than average film end.

I don't want to spoil any film goers surprise ending or personal experience with Criminal Activities but to summarize the film in three acts I would rate: Act One (1) with a "C" rating, Act Two (2) with a "D" rating, and the final act, Act Three (3) with a "B+" plus rating.

So if you can hang in there through a pretty boring middle half of the film with a lot of useless four letter word dialogue you may be pleasantly surprised with an above average decent film ending.

Awesome Movie
reedcm412 January 2016
First time writing a review for any movie. I actually rented this movie and viewed it in the comfort of my home.

The movie kept me totally interested the entire length of the film. Lots of twists and turns to keep one from getting up and leaving your comfy seat.

Had me captivated from start to finish. I always enjoy watching John Travolta in any movie from his beginning many years ago.

The ending with all the twists and turns leaves you with the feeling there should be a follow-up in the near future.

Great casting for this movie especially with the up and coming actors Rex Baker and Tyrone Jenkins.

Average! 4/10
leonblackwood10 March 2016
Review: I can honestly say that I didn't have high hopes for this movie but it didn't turn out to be totally bad. The 4 dumb criminals, Zach (Michael Pitt), Noah (Dan Stevens), Warren (Christopher Abbott) and Bryce (Rob Brown), really didn't have a clue about kidnapping but they were stuck in an impossible situation after borrowing $200,000 from mob boss, Eddie (John Travolta). After a bad investment, they end up owing Eddie $400,000, so to pay there debt, they have to kidnap Marques (Edi Gathegi), who is the brother of a gangster who has kidnapped Eddie's niece. I know it sounds confusing but it's pretty straight forward. Whilst holding Marques in a derelict building, Gerry (Jackie Earle Haley) is on the hunt for Eddie's niece so the 4 best friends are stuck with Marques, waiting for instructions from Eddie. When the storyline unfolds, you soon realise that all is not what it seems, in a Usual Suspects type of way but I do have to watch the movie again to truly understand the major twist. The acting isn't bad from the whole cast, especially Edi Gathegi and Michael Pitt but the professionalism from John Travolta, makes the rest of the cast look quite amateur. The character that I really liked throughout the film was Jackie Earle Haley, who also directed the movie, so he really gave his all to this project. It's not in the same league as Usual Suspects but it's a watchable movie which isn't bad for the directors debut. Watchable!

Round-Up: I first saw Jackie Earle Haley, 54, in Little Children, we're he played a paedophile and was extremely creepy, and since then he has starred in some big movies like All The King's Men, Semi-Pro, Fragments, Watchmen, where he played Rorschach extremely well, Shutter Island, Lincoln, A Nightmare On Elm Street, Dark Shadows, Parkland, Robocop and the upcoming London Has Fallen. He really has an impressive portfolio, which is understandable because he's an unique actor who brings intensity to all of his roles. As for this movie, I think the ending was extremely rushed and a lot of the scenes with the 4 kidnappers were average. He was lucky to get such a diverse cast, who all brought something different to the project but I would have liked to have seen more from Travolta and Haley, who were the best thing in the movie.

I recommend this movie to people who are into their crime/drama/thrillers starring John Travolta, Michael Pitt, Dan Stevens, Rob Brown, Jackie Earle Haley and Christopher Abbott. 4/10

There's always time for ice cream.......
FlashCallahan5 December 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Four friends who work in the city acting on an inside tip, invest in a 'sure thing'.

But the deal goes sour, and they find themselves being indebted to the mob for nearly half a million dollars. The only way they can clear there debt is by kidnapping a member of another organised crime unit, and holding them for 24 hours.

But things are not what they seem.......

The makers have obviously been inspired by the likes of Boiler Room and Reservoir Dogs, and while it's always a risky move to try and impersonate the likes of Tarantino, Jackie Earl Haley has done a decent job with his film.

Character wise, the film offers nothing new. The group who are in trouble consist of the quiet one, the nervous one, the loose cannon, and the one who doesn't do much, but then does a lot near the end.

Then we have the heavies. Again, we have the quiet one, the muscle, and we have have the talky one, played by the director. Here it's business as usual for the narrative. When these two heavies are I a difficult situation, the talky one goes and tells a story about how a mark on his body occurred. This trope happens in a lot of these types of film nowadays.

And then you have your almost washed up A-list star, playing the big man, the boss. And this time the guest star is one John Travolta.

Don't be fooled by the one sheet, the mans hardly in it, but when he is he makes the film all the more watchable, but for two reasons.

Firstly, he's brilliant in these sort of sarcastic roles, the one where the bad but has the swagger, and knows he can't do no wrong. Imagine him as Castor Troy in Face/Off mixed with his performance in Swordfish, and you have him here.

Secondly, what on earth has he done with his face and hair?

Once the main plot is implemented, it's a war of nerves for the group of fellows, as they start to bond with the victim, and in turn, the victim begins to play them off each other, and tensions rise.

What saves the film from mediocrity is the ending, and showing us the set up with the pay off, it makes for quite entertaining viewing.

That, and the soundtrack is stupendously over the top.

So it's nothing special, it's funny in places, Travolta steals the movie from everyone, and it never once threatens to challenge the grey matter.

Perfect for a cold winters afternoon.

Wretched Embarrassment-don't waste a second of your life on this
vcgraves19 March 2016
Anyone involved with this movie should just be ashamed of themselves. Why?

The script, if there was one, was just a bunch of guys yelling f-words at each other.

Worthless, f, f, f, this, and f, f, f, that.

Cinematography? Shaky cam shot by a 12-year-old. Not one interesting visual.

Plot? Forget it.

Interest? None.

Acting? Beyond lame.

This is a product with a major star (Travolta) vying for your consumer dollar. The problem is, it's utter garbage. Do not waste a minute of your life on this sad rip-off.

Surprisingly Good
TRussellMorris11 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Ya know, I initially figured (as I am A John Travolta fan) I expected this to be a typical mediocre but enjoyable film. In the end however, as things went along, I found ti more and more way beyond that, Acting was great for the most part,, casting was very well done, and the story, wow, I really wasn't expecting that, very well written, some really good comedic moments and the twists and turns kept me off guard. By the ending wrap up, I was pretty floored as I really wasn't expecting it to "all turn out that way" and this hidden backstory was a big surprise to me and kind of really made go "humm, that was good", as I really had no idea or suspicions. It was fun, it was surprising, had it's humorous moments, alongside some "wtf" moments as well. I'm really glad I grabbed it and added it to my collection, as it was a very fun ride.

The 1 and only problem I had with the whole film was the last 60 seconds...I "get it" but personally "riding off into the sunset with typical gold digging ho" was beyond lame despite it being part of the "hidden payback" story line going on...but perhaps heterosexuals would certainly see it in a different light I am sure..lol This film is certainly going into my Hidden Gems list.

Someone else wrote "A little Pulp Fiction and a little Usual Suspects" I agree, it has quite few elements of both in a very good NON derivative way.

Garbage
vikpk8 May 2016
I wish there was something good about this movie so I can write a spoiler. It is plain awful. Terrible people, doing terrible things to other terrible people.

The plot is pretentious and stupid at the same time. Sleazebags steal money from other sleaze-bags, so they can provide a setup for a lot of F-word and many variations, repetitions, and the derivatives of the curse word. The language gets so bad, that it becomes unbearable. Who talks like that? Even if they do, why do we need to be slapped in the face with the flood of profanity? And people pay money to be subject to this?!

This is a bad movie, so bad that I consider it one of the unimportant signs that we are coming to the end of the world.

Do not waste your precious time. I couldn't not finish it and just walked away.

Best crime drama I've seen in a long time
dagur-8363724 November 2015
This is the first time I write a review on this site so forgive me if it's a bit messy.

What prompted me to write a review is the low score of this movie...5.8? Really???

Criminal Activities had me glued to the screen for the entirety of the film. Every actor was spot on in their role and there was not a moment where I thought of them as actors. This movie really managed to keep me on my feet because you could never know what was going to happen next. I'm no genius but I usually figure out the plot. In this case I had it all wrong, this film went a different way than most and didn't follow basic Hollywood formulas. A bold move but I would argue it paid off in this case.

I give it a 9/10 considering a low budget. With a bigger budget the film could've had better production and a more complete script

Enjoyable, low-budget crime thriller
adam-6490515 April 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Once again, everyone is comparing a low budget flick to mega Hollywood films. While this film does feature John Travolta, it's obvious that they just used his name to get the audience's interest. But don't let that dissuade you from watching it. All the acting from the lesser-known actors is still very good, and in fact, might actually even be better. Travolta plays your typical mob boss, but the guys involved are anything but your mob underlings. It's a formula I've seen before, but the twist later on in the film gives it a unique twist that made it worthwhile. Even if stuff didn't make sense during the film, it came together at the end. It's nothing that will rock your world, but it was enjoyable enough for an hour and a half.

No Saints
kosmasp11 November 2016
B-movies can be fun, they also can be bad. Or they can be quite alright. And this for me was the latter. It wasn't really bad, but it didn't really give me that much. So while there were a few things that didn't quite work, I did like the overall chemistry. There were a couple of missed opportunities, considering the set up the movie could work with, but that doesn't mean it didn't get the things right it did use (eye of the beholder and all).

There is tension and there is decisions that do not make too much sense. There are also a couple too many forgettable characters thrown into the mix. And there are the (sometimes) foreseeable twists and turns in the story and character development ... Does that sound enticing to you?

This is an O.K.movie a little elevated by the performances of the actors.

The story feels like it's been done before. But all the reveals and twists come nicely placed and make sense at the end of the movie.

It's a good action/thriller but it misses to much production value to ever be great.

Easy comparison would be "bone tomahawk" which feels like it's been done with the same sort of formula.

I think it is good for the indie movies and this just delivers more than usual.

Also fair to say that this is more a thriller than an action flick. Some of the scenes also feel a little dragged.

Definitely worth a watch.

Just don't expect block buster material.

Okay!
