Big Ed Brown is slimming down amid his recent split from Liz Woods.
The 90 Day Fiance star has been spending his spare time in the gym, focusing on building muscle and losing excess weight.
The Arkansas-based realtor uploaded a video of himself to Instagram this week, showing off his slimmed-down figure.
Ed was working out in the Reel, lifting weights and flexing his biceps, clad in a San Francisco Giants hat, a tank top that read “Body By Bacon” with a pig logo, black shorts, and a pair of weight-lifting gloves.
Dramatic music played in the background as Big Ed struck several poses for the mirrored wall, did some bicep curls, and worked the lat-pulldown machine.
Text over Big Ed’s video read, “Down 19 lbs..!” In the caption, he added many hashtags, including #biged90dayfiance, #thisisbiged, #cameo, #tailand, and #workhard.

Deadpool & Wolverine is set to be the sensation that defines the fate of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The apocalyptic dread that engulfed the superhero universe and its real-life counterpart will soon stand witness to a cinematic phenomenon that will not only appreciate the true extent of the multiverse but exploit all of its strengths and quirks to deliver a box-office sensation.

However, fear begins to set in when one realizes the pitfalls of such a promising feature film from the studio that brought us Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Thor: Love and Thunder, and Secret Invasion. After the post-Endgame spell almost drove Marvel into the ground, Deadpool & Wolverine stands at the murky border separating hope and despair for a fandom that once, quite literally, hero-worshipped the comic-book-movie industry before it turned into one of the most divisive and unreliable creators of all time.

Each week on “The Pit Stop,” Trixie Mattel recaps the latest episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 16 alongside a guest host. In their recap of the episode, Lawrence was happy to see Q reveal a “real human emotion moment” in how she felt some type away about Sapphira Cristál winning last week’s challenge. Both her and Trixie thought it was smart of her to not speak too much about her feelings though because she might have said something she regretted. Against all odds, a new adaptation of the acclaimed sci-fi novel "The Three-Body Problem" is finally here and it truly lives up to its billing as the nerdiest series of the year. Readers know full well just how deep in the weeds the original story can get, as author Liu Cixin oftentimes spends entire passages breaking down the finer points of astrophysics, quantum mechanics, and other heady Stem topics that definitely aren't for the faint of heart. It's to the writer's credit that even the driest of subject matter still provides a foundation for one of the most entertaining epics in all of fiction, made up of a full trilogy of books collectively titled "Remembrance of Earth's Past," thanks in no small part to his commitment to getting the science right wherever possible. In short, Cixin envisions an...

“RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 16 continued on March 22 with episode 12 on MTV. Airing concurrently with the main show is its tea-spilling, backstage-focused sister series “Untucked,” now in its 15th season. For this week’s challenge, the final six queens worked in pairs to design bathroom spaces in “Bathroom Hunties,” a “House Hunters” spoof. Based on critiques from the judges, Sapphira Cristál and Plane Jane were feeling the most confident about their chances at a win as the queens made their way to the Untucked Lounge.
All the queens thought that the challenge and the improv aspect was “harder than the seminars” from last week. That was, in part, why Jane had a “breakdown” in the Werk Room where she showed the first crack in the armor with a lack of confidence going into the performance. She explained that the challenges are getting harder and though she’s “fueled by delusion,” that...

Plot: A young woman’s fateful decision in 1960s China reverberates across space and time into the present day. When the laws of nature inexplicably unravel before their eyes, a close-knit group of brilliant scientists join forces with an unorthodox detective to confront the greatest threat in humanity’s history.
Review: As soon as it was announced that Game of Thrones showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff were developing 3 Body Problem alongside Alexander Woo, I grabbed the novel and read it. The dense first entry in Liu Cixin’s trilogy was a fascinating look at science fiction from a Chinese vantage point with heavy political implications from the nation’s storied history. In translating the book for the screen, 3 Body Problem incorporates many of the cultural elements from the novel into a global and diverse narrative that sets the table for an ongoing series about humanity fighting against an extraterrestrial foe.

The orbit of the Earth around the sun is quite stable, and there are equations that can describe how the two masses pull on each other to keep our planet’s seasons and annual revolutions predictable. Such is the nature of two celestial bodies in a gravitational dance. But what if a planet, like that of the aliens in Netflix’s 3 Body Problem, is being pulled around by three stars orbiting each other? The math then gets complex very quickly, and a multitude of variables make conditions almost impossible to predict.
Thankfully, all that the viewers of the Netflix series based on the Cixin Liu novel really need to know about the astrophysics concept referred to by the show’s title is that the home planet of the San Ti is the victim of the aforementioned unpredictability. Briston Maroney made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this week to perform the song “Body” from his latest album, Ultrapure.
Taking the stage alongside his band, Maroney delivered an impassioned rendition of the song, singing the chorus’ refrain “Someday, my body will be just a body” in all of its anthemic glory. For the climax, he stepped back to let his guitar do the talking, laying down a chaotic slide guitar solo over the band’s energetic groove. Watch a video of the performance below.
Ultrapure arrived this past September and is the second full-length release from Maroney. His debut album, Sunflower, premiered in 2021, featuring the Manchester Orchestra co-penned song, “Bottle Rocket.” In 2022, he shared the singles “Paradise” and “Harvard,” and last year, he opened for Noah Kahan.
Up next, Maroney has tour dates of his own coming up, including stops in cities like San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver, and more.

The government of Javier Milei, Argentina’s far-right leader, has pushed through highly controversial plans to defund all state funding to the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (Incaa), the country’s national film body.
In an official public notice published Tuesday, Milei’s Human Capital Ministry said it discovered a $4 million deficit in Incaa’s budget partly funded by the Treasury and, as a result, would move to cut costs by suspending all funding to the institute.
“Our commitment to a zero budget deficit is non-negotiable. The time when film festivals were financed with the hunger of thousands of children is over,” the ministry stated.
The austerity plans will see large parts of Incaa’s everyday operations suspended, with phone lines, transport fares, overtime pay, and staff contracts cut. The decision will also suspend all support for national film releases. The move is also expected to affect the...

Adapted from Lui Cixin’s award-winning Remembrance of Earth’s Past trilogy, and drawing primarily from the first novel in the series, 3 Body Problem is a mystery story that takes place on a cosmic scale. David Benioff, D.B. Weiss, and Alexander Woo’s series begins with a slew of suspicious deaths in the scientific community. When the world’s particle accelerators simultaneously begin churning out nonsensical data, an unnamed agency becomes convinced that these two events are somehow connected and sends a charmingly disheveled intelligence officer, Da Shi (Benedict Wong), to investigate.
As he sleuths into the ongoing deaths, Da uncovers a conspiracy that can be traced all the way back to the bloodiest days of China’s Cultural Revolution and to an astrophysicist named Ye Wenjie (played by Zine Tseng in her youth and then Rosalind Chao as an adult). Claire Simon’s Our Body is now showing exclusively on Mubi in many countries. Our Body.At the beginning, as I say in the prologue of the film, the initiative came from Kristina Larsen, and I was delighted because she's a producer I have a lot of respect for. She told me that she had just spent two years in hospital, that she had discovered this world—the carers, from nurses to doctors, and the patients—and that the ward she was in encompassed everything that women go through in the course of a lifetime. I was very touched by her proposal, not least because when I made Les Bureaux de Dieu (2008), a fiction about family planning, I'd been angry with myself for not having included pregnancy follow-up, which is sometimes provided by family planning. Stars: Kathryn Newton, Cole Sprouse, Liza Soberano, Henry Eikenberry, Joe Chrest, Carla Gugino | Written by Diablo Cody | Directed by Zelda Williams
Billed as “a coming of Rage story”, this undead comedy-horror is directed by Zelda Williams (daughter of Robin) and scripted by Diablo Cody, making a return to the teen girl horror genre after her 2009 cult hit Jennifer’s Body. As befits a film involving various dismembered body parts, Lisa Frankenstein is occasionally patchy and clumsily put together, but the witty script and fun performances carry it through.
Set in 1989, the film centres on Lisa Swallows (Kathryn Newton), who’s still withdrawn after witnessing her mother’s butchering during a home invasion by an axe murderer. Meanwhile, her taciturn father (Joe Chrest) has moved on and remarried, meaning that Lisa now has both an evil stepmother (Carla Gugino) and a popular, kind-hearted, but not too bright sister-in-law, Taffy (Liza Soberano).

Knocked Loose have announced a new album, You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To, arriving May 10th via Pure Noise Records. The video for the lead single “Blinding Faith” is available to stream below.

The extensive outing will kick off April 27th at Sick New World in Las Vegas and run through a June 9th show in St. Petersburg, Florida, with tickets available here.
The new song “Blinding Faith” has already been popping up in setlists and is a crushing example of the band’s sound on its new LP. Everything has been cranked the extreme, from Brian Garris’ throat-shredding vocals to the whiplash tempo changes and frenetic guitar work. This is hardcore verging on metalcore/industrial nu-metal,...

Warning: The following contains major spoilers for Jennifer’s Body and Lisa Frankenstein.
Few female killers in the wide world of horror have been able to match the impact of Jennifer Check. Played by the incomparable Megan Fox, Diablo Cody’s teenage seductress rises from the ashes of a hideous crime and returns to wreak bloody vengeance on the teenage boys in her small town. Jennifer’s Body was initially dismissed as a vapid vehicle for a gorgeous star – an unfortunate parallel to the film’s own message – but Karyn Kusama’s teen horror comedy has finally found a devoted audience that appreciates its biting satire and unflinching look at the hell of teenage girlhood. Fifteen years later, Cody returns to the genre with a new heroine searching for power in a world built to dismiss her. [Editor’s note: The following article contains spoilers for “Lisa Frankenstein,” “Jennifer’s Body,” and “Young Adult.”]
Sometimes rage is the only way for a woman to get what she wants — especially if she’s a teenage girl with nothing else on her side. And no one channels that rage into movies better than screenwriter Diablo Cody.
The latest Cody film has all the signature requirements behind the Oscar-winning screenwriter’s scripts: Billed by Focus Features as “a coming of Rage love story,” the teen-centric, not quite rom-com hinges on the sexual awakening and empowerment of a high school senior (Kathryn Newton) who seeks solace from a centuries-old corpse (Cole Sprouse) after grieving death and coping with an assault.
“Lisa Frankenstein” is just the most recent female-fronted original horror-dark comedy from Cody, who penned the iconic “Jennifer’s Body” and recently told Deadline that “Lisa Frankenstein” exists in the same universe as the Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried two-hander.

Screenwriter Diablo Cody says she’s interested in rebooting the 2009 cult horror comedy, Jennifer’s Body. “I never lost my passion for that world,” she says.
Diablo Cody’s returning to the horror comedy genre this year with Lisa Frankenstein, directed by Zelda Williams. As its name implies, it’s another modern spin on Mary Shelley’s gothic tale, with Kathryn Newton starring as a young woman who revives the corpse of a Victorian gentleman and proceeds to turn the creature into her ideal lover.
In an interview with Deadline, Cody has revealed – perhaps half-jokingly – that Lisa Frankenstein takes place “in the same universe” as her earlier horror comedy, Jennifer’s Body, released in 2009. There won’t be any obvious nods to that film, though, so it sounds as though this is something Cody had in the back of her mind as she was writing rather than a concerted attempt to create a franchise.

So, what was David Benioff and Dan Weiss’ shelved Star Wars movie all about?
The Game of Thrones creators opened up about their efforts to make a Star Wars movie in this week’s The Hollywood Reporter‘s cover story about their upcoming Netflix sci-fi epic 3 Body Problem, which they created along with True Blood writer-producer Alexander Woo. The producers also discuss the backlash to Thrones‘ final season, their short-lived Confederate idea, their 3 Body producer’s bizarre Breaking Bad-inspired murder, and the many challenges that came from making their hugely ambitious new show.
On the Star Wars front, the duo confirm media reports from 2019 that they were looking at the early days of the Jedi, but added some details.
“We wanted to do The First Jedi,” Benioff says. “Basically, how the Jedi Order came to be, why it came to be, the first lightsaber …”

One of our favorite films coming out of Venice Film Festival back in 2022, where it won the Queer Lion award, Alex Schaad’s feature debut Skin Deep will now arrive in theaters early this February from Kino Lorber. Ahead of the release, the first trailer has arrived. The film subverts genre and gender as it toggles from body swap thriller to intimate relationship drama.
Here’s the synopsis: “Seeking a retreat where they can salvage their struggling relationship, young couple Leyla (Mala Emde) and Tristan (Jonas Dassler) travel to a remote island at the invitation of Leyla’s childhood friend Stella, where it soon becomes clear that what the island offers is more mysterious than a simple vacation. Leyla and Tristan join another couple in a ritual to exchange bodies and see the world through the eyes of someone else – a chance to find themselves or, for some of them,...

Kathryn Newton has a dead lover and really great hair in the new trailer for Lisa Frankenstein. Watch it right here.
Zelda Williams’ Lisa Frankenstein is heading to cinemas next month and there’s a brand new trailer to celebrate it. We got a brief teaser last year, but the new trailer gives us something to sink our teeth into.
Kathryn Newton stars as a young woman who accidentally reanimates a corpse she has been fantasising about with her tanning bed and begins to mould him into the perfect gentleman caller. Things get bloody. Obviously.
Take a look at the hilarious new trailer below.
The cast of the film is to die for (pardon the pun). Newton is joined by Riverdale’s Cole Sprouse, Carla Cugino and Joe Chrest. The 80s vibes are immaculate in the trailer and makes us long for the days of really frizzy hair and endless supply of leg warmers.

On Thursday (December 14), the 41-year-old rapper appeared on an episode of Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live.
During host Andy Cohen‘s classic “Plead the Fifth” game, he asked her who she thinks is running pop right now.
Nicki didn’t have a totally straightforward answer, but she did share a few names of women musicians she admires.

After a moment of reflection, Nicki said, “Um, I don’t know. The people that are in the industry now, like, they’ve already put in their work. So, they’re queens in their own right.”
She added, “There are two women that I have looked up to in the music industry since I’ve come in it in a different way. Just because of who they are and where I’m from and who I am.

Have you ever wanted to trade places with someone else, even just for an hour? Well, the old adage “walk a mile in someone else’s shoes” has spurred an entire comedy movie sub-genre: the sometimes hilarious, plenty times not, body swap trope that sits right up there with buddy movies and road trip plots for recognizable narrative arcs.
The concept has been explored with plenty of non-comedy body swaps; it’s a staple in the horror genre thanks to possessions (“Invasion of the Body Snatchers”), Satanic rituals (“The Skeleton Key”), sacrifices gone wrong (“Jennifer’s Body”), and plain ol’ demons (“The Exorcist”). Then, there’s the surgical body swap that lacks the certain je n’ai sais quoi of mystical intervention that comedies such as the live-action “Scooby Doo” movie and “All of Me” offer.
And doe time travel count as body swapping? As much as we love “13 Going on 30,” “Big,...

Femme fatales have existed since the dawn of narrative art. This intoxicating female archetype is known for her alluring sensuality and dark habit of causing harm or destruction to any man who falls into her grasp. From the sirens of Greek literature and Shakespeare’s Lady MacBeth to the vamps of the silent film era and gangster movie gun molls, femme fatales have continued to change with times.
A surge of classic examples arose in pulp literature and the subsequent film noir heyday of the 1940s and 50s – possibly a response to shifting gender roles in the wake of World War II. Many consider Barbara Stanwyck’s Phyllis Dietrichson to be the prototypical film fatale of the silver screen. In Double Indemnity, this magnetic blonde seduces a hapless salesman and convinces him to kill her husband in order to cash in on the titular insurance policy.

Horror doesn’t always have to be jump scare after jump scare or a non-stop gore fest. It doesn’t have to have Aliens, Terminators, or Predators to say nothing of any of the other monsters we’ve seen over the years. Movies that don’t include those coveted horror checklists typically get lumped into the thriller category like Silence of the Lambs or even Get Out. Funny how those are the movies that the Globes and Oscars want to award. Without a shadow of a doubt horror films that can be labeled something a little more friendly to draw more audience demographics or get better ink in reviews. I’m here...

Memento International and Anonymous Content have boarded “Woman Of,” a bold Venice competition entry written and directed by Małgorzata Szumowska and Michał Englert. The film is a pioneering trans drama set in against the landscape of the Polish transformation from communism to capitalism.
“Woman Of” stars Małgorzata Hajewska-Krzysztofik as Aniela Wesoły, who lived more than half of her adult life in a provincial Polish town as a man. “Woman Of…” spans 45 years of the life of Aniela as she aspires to find personal liberty as a trans woman and faces hardships in marriage and parenthood, strained family relations and complicated attitudes in her environment.
“‘Woman Of’ is the result of many years of work, a film that tells a story of a mature trans woman living in Poland, who does not fit the social norms of a traditional family,” said Szumowska and Englert, who have been working on movies together for over 20 years.

In “Every Body,” an activist named Alicia Roth Weigel sits on her couch, swiping through profiles on a dating app and explaining to the camera — and a public who’ve likely never had the opportunity or occasion to think about such things — how challenging it is to find a match. Weigel was born with both male and female biological traits, which a doctor immediately sought to correct via surgery (Weigel describes the loss of her testes as “castration”) so the child would conform to society’s idea of female. But Weigel is not female; she/they are intersex, and her/their story is one America needs to hear.
Why? Well, for starters, in the past six months, an estimated 560 anti-trans bills have been introduced in 49 states. Trans and intersex are not the same thing, representing two entirely different letters in the catch-all Lgbtqia+ label. Still, acknowledging the existence of intersex individuals — “whatever that is,...

Rolling off a successful collaboration on “Charlatan,” Films Boutique has boarded Agnieszka Holland’s next film “The Green Border,” which just completed principal photography in Poland.
Now in post production, “The Green Border” tells the fateful story of a family of Syrian refugees, a solitary English teacher from Afghanistan and a young border guard, all of whom meet on the Polish-Belarusian border during the most recent humanitarian crisis triggered by President Lukaschenko opening doors to migrants in Belarus as a back door to enter the EU.
The screenplay, penned by Holland, Gabriela Łazarkiewicz-Sieczko and Maciej Pisuk, is inspired by real events. Research for the film included hundreds of hours of document analysis, interviews with refugees, border guards, borderland residents, activists and experts.
A co-production between Poland, France, Belgium and the Czech Republic, “The Green Border” is produced by Marcin Wierzchosławski (Metro Films), Fred Bernstein (Astute Films) and Holland. Co-producers are Maria Blicharska,...

Amanda Seyfried has a long-running career that spans decades. The star got into acting at 15 years old and has managed to hold onto the spotlight since then. Although Seyfried has appeared in several productions, she is better known for her roles in Mean Girls, Jennifer’s Body, and The Dropout.
The actor recently said Jennifer’s Body taught her what she doesn’t like to do as an actor.
