Periodically in the series, Tim DeKay's character, Peter Burke, is seen wearing a Le Moyne College T-shirt. DeKay received his Bachelor's degree in Business administration from this school.
This series was inspired by Frank Abagnale, Jr., and the film "Catch Me If You Can." In the film, to get a woman's attention - and thus use her for access to something - Abagnale would say, "Excuse me, miss, did you drop something?" and produce a diamond bracelet from his pocket. This episode contains an homage to that. Neal, posing as a pilot (one of Abagnale's frequent adopted aliases), lifts a flight attendant's bra from her purse and asks her the same question, in order to use her ID to gain access to a building. The angle of the shot of the bra mimics the multiple shots of the bracelets in the film.
The song La Mer that is played is the French original to Bobby Darins song Beyond the Sea.
When working underground, Mozzie is wearing overalls with the name "Stanford" which is the name of the character he played in Sex in the City.
